Devourer Demon Hunter DPS Best Gems, Enchants, and Consumables — Midnight Season 1
On this page, we list the best gems, enchants, flasks, potions, and food you can get for your Devourer Demon Hunter, based on your stat priority. We also give budget alternatives. This page is updated for World of Warcraft — Midnight Season 1.
Best Enchants, Gems, and Consumables for Devourer Demon Hunter
This section covers the optimal gems, enchants, food, potions, and flasks to use with your character. Please visit our dedicated Stats page to get a more detailed rundown of the different stats for Devourer Demon Hunter.
For all consumables (excluding food) in the lists below, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative, look for a lower rank of the same item listed. The price difference is often significant for a small loss in stats gained.
Recommended Gems
It is recommended that you simulate your character for gems, as individual gear pieces have a big influence. As stats are very similar across different builds and content, we have a one-size-fits-all approach:
- Use
Indecipherable Eversong Diamond in your first socket. - All other sockets should have
Flawless Quick Amethyst.
Enchants for Devourer Demon Hunter
| Slot | Best Enchantment |
|---|---|
| Main Hand |
|
| Off Hand |
|
| Helm |
|
| Chest |
|
| Shoulders |
|
| Legs |
|
| Boots |

| Rings |

Having one of both
Enchant Weapon - Arcane Mastery and
Enchant Weapon - Berserker's Rage
for Mastery and Haste procs is generally preferred. Depending on the stat balance
on your character however, you may find results are different, so remember to sim
your character!
Your ring enchants are determined by character sims, with both Haste and Mastery options generally being preferred.
Helm, Shoulder, and Boot enchants are personal preferences as they have no direct impact on performance, but we recommend Avoidance and Stamina for the extra survivability.
Consumable Recommendations
Flask
There are two options for your flask of choice depending on the situation:
Flask of the Magisters — is the preferred choice, as the Mastery
it provides is more desired for Devourer
Flask of the Blood Knights — can instead be used if you prefer the
Haste, which can help to make your rotation feel smoother.
You can also obtain a flask of your choice from
Cauldron of Sin'dorei Flaskss
provided by Alchemists.
Potions
Potion of Recklessness is your best option, and should be paired with major
cooldowns and
Bloodlust /
Heroism. You can also obtain
temporary
Potion of Recklessness from
Voidlight Potion Cauldron provided
by Alchemists.
Silvermoon Health Potion is the current best healing potion. Using
this has a 5-minute cooldown, but multiple can be consumed in an extended boss
fight should it go on long enough. Additionally, Warlock's
Healthstones do not share a cooldown with other healing consumables.
Remember to use it as well if you are holding one!
Food Buff
As Intellect is back to being the most valuable stat in Midnight, you should be
eating a
Silvermoon Parade if possible. If this isn't provided
by your group, stick to
Royal Roast personal food instead.
Weapon Enhancements
Your weapon enhancement consumable of choice is
Thalassian Phoenix Oil
to provide additional Critical Strike and Haste.
Augment Rune
In addition, if you can afford it, you should use
Void-Touched Augment Runes
to increase your primary stat. These can be obtained through the weekly housing
quest, but remember: Augment Runes are expensive and disappear on death,
so use them wisely!
Other Consumables
Alongside standard buff consumables, there are a handful of other items worth keeping hold of - especially in Mythic+:
Gateway Control Shard — allows you to auto-interact with nearby Warlock
Demonic Gateways.
Void-Touched Drums — grants a weaker 15% Haste
Bloodlust
effect on your party when used. These are still affected by
Sated, so should
only be used if you have no party member that provides it naturally.
Emergency Soul Link — can be used as a combat resurrection on your target,
and does not require Engineering.
Void-Shrouded Tincture — Midnight's invisibility potion, which can
be used to skip certain trash pulls in Mythic+. Bear in mind this does
share a cooldown with your offensive potion
Light's Potential.
