The recommended choices for all content are:

Use Indecipherable Eversong Diamond in your first socket.
All other sockets should have Flawless Deadly Amethyst.

Your weapon enhancement consumable of choice is Thalassian Phoenix Oil Icon Thalassian Phoenix Oil to provide additional Critical Strike and Haste.

Optimal Consumables

Consumables substantially increase the power of your character for a limited time. Any time you are challenging yourself with difficult content, it is advisable that you buff yourself with Flasks, Food, Potions, and Weapon Oils.

3.1.

Flask

There are three options for your flask of choice depending on the situation:

Flask of the Magisters — is the preferred choice, as the Mastery it provides is more desired for Devourer
Flask of the Blood Knights — can instead be used if you are under the Haste breakpoint for Void-Scarred, or if you are playing Annihilator and prefer the gameplay feel of the extra haste.
Flask of the Shattered Sun — can be used if you do not yet have Freightrunner's Flask or Aqirbane Reliquary.

You can also obtain a flask of your choice from Cauldron of Sin'dorei Flasks Icon Cauldron of Sin'dorei Flaskss provided by Alchemists.

3.2.

Potions

Potion of Recklessness Icon Potion of Recklessness is your best option, and should be paired with major cooldowns and Bloodlust Icon Bloodlust / Heroism Icon Heroism. You can also obtain temporary Potion of Recklessness from Voidlight Potion Cauldron Icon Voidlight Potion Cauldron provided by Alchemists.

Concentrated Silvermoon Health Potion is the current best healing potion. Using this has a 5-minute cooldown, but multiple can be consumed in an extended boss fight should it go on long enough. Additionally, Warlock's Healthstone Icon Healthstones do not share a cooldown with other healing consumables. Remember to use it as well if you are holding one!

Food Buff

In Season Two, secondary stats from food have started to outweigh the value of Intellect. As such, seek to eat Feast of Knowledge Icon Feast of Knowledge when it is available, or Champion's Bento Icon Champion's Bento when it is not.

Augment Rune

In addition, if you can afford it, you should use Void-Touched Augment Rune Icon Void-Touched Augment Runes to increase your primary stat. These can be obtained through the weekly housing quest, but remember: Augment Runes are expensive and disappear on death, so use them wisely!

3.5.

Other Consumables

Alongside standard buff consumables, there are a handful of other items worth keeping hold of - especially in Mythic+:

Gateway Control Shard — allows you to auto-interact with nearby Warlock Demonic Gateways.
Void-Touched Drums — grants a weaker 15% Haste Bloodlust effect on your party when used. These are still affected by Sated, so should only be used if you have no party member that provides it naturally.
Emergency Soul Link — can be used as a combat resurrection on your target, and does not require Engineering.
Void-Shrouded Tincture — Midnight's invisibility potion, which can be used to skip certain trash pulls in Mythic+. Bear in mind this does share a cooldown with your offensive potion Light's Potential.
