Best Enchants, Gems, and Consumables for Devourer Demon Hunter

This section covers the optimal gems, enchants, food, potions, and flasks to use with your character. Please visit our dedicated Stats page to get a more detailed rundown of the different stats for Devourer Demon Hunter.

For all consumables (excluding food) in the lists below, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative, look for a lower rank of the same item listed. The price difference is often significant for a small loss in stats gained.

2.

It is recommended that you simulate your character for gems, as individual gear pieces have a big influence. As stats are very similar across different builds and content, we have a one-size-fits-all approach:

  • Use Indecipherable Eversong Diamond Icon Indecipherable Eversong Diamond in your first socket.
  • All other sockets should have Flawless Masterful Peridot Icon Flawless Masterful Peridot. We want to limit the type of gems to make use of our embellishment Loa Worshiper's Band Icon Loa Worshiper's Band

Weapon Enchant Note At lower gear levels in the pre-season, it's likely that Enchant Weapon - Acuity of the Ren'dorei Icon Enchant Weapon - Acuity of the Ren'dorei will perform better due to lower overall stats. If you see this in sims, this is normal, and is generally the better choice over secondary options until your gear gets more optimized.

Having one of both Enchant Weapon - Arcane Mastery Icon Enchant Weapon - Arcane Mastery and Enchant Weapon - Berserker's Rage Icon Enchant Weapon - Berserker's Rage for Mastery and Haste procs is generally preferred. Depending on the stat balance on your character however, you may find results are different, so remember to sim your character!

Your ring enchants are determined by character sims, with both Haste and Mastery options generally being preferred.

Helm, Shoulder, and Boot enchants are personal preferences as they have no direct impact on performance, but we recommend Avoidance and Stamina for the extra survivability.

Consumable Recommendations

4.1.

Flask

There are two options for your flask of choice depending on the situation:

  • Flask of the Magisters Icon Flask of the Magisters — is the preferred choice, as the Mastery it provides is more desired for Devourer
  • Flask of the Blood Knights Icon Flask of the Blood Knights — can instead be used if you prefer the Haste, which can help to make your rotation feel smoother.

You can also obtain a flask of your choice from Cauldron of Sin'dorei Flasks Icon Cauldron of Sin'dorei Flaskss provided by Alchemists.

4.2.

Potions

Potion of Recklessness Icon Potion of Recklessness is your best option, and should be paired with major cooldowns and Bloodlust Icon Bloodlust / Heroism Icon Heroism. You can also obtain temporary Potion of Recklessness Icon Potion of Recklessness from Voidlight Potion Cauldron Icon Voidlight Potion Cauldron provided by Alchemists.

Silvermoon Health Potion Icon Silvermoon Health Potion is the current best healing potion. Using this has a 5-minute cooldown, but multiple can be consumed in an extended boss fight should it go on long enough. Additionally, Warlock's Healthstone Icon Healthstones do not share a cooldown with other healing consumables. Remember to use it as well if you are holding one!

4.3.

Foodbuff

As Intellect is back to being the most valuable stat in Midnight, you should be eating a Quel'dorei Medley Icon Quel'dorei Medley if possible. If this isn't provided by your group, stick to Champion's Bento Icon Champion's Bento personal food instead.

4.4.

Weapon Enhancement/Oil

Your weapon enhancement consumable of choice is Thalassian Phoenix Oil Icon Thalassian Phoenix Oil to provide additional Critical Strike and Haste.

4.5.

Augment Rune

In addition, if you can afford it, you should use Void-Touched Augment Rune Icon Void-Touched Augment Runes to increase your primary stat. These can be obtained through the weekly housing quest, but remember: Augment Runes are expensive and disappear on death, so use them wisely!
