Devourer Demon Hunter DPS Spell List and Glossary — Midnight Pre-Patch (12.0)
On this page, we present you with all spells and procs that you need to understand as a Devourer Demon Hunter in World of Warcraft — Midnight Pre-Patch (12.0).
Spell Summary of Devourer Demon Hunter
Devourer is the all new ranged specialization for Demon Hunters added in Midnight. This page covers the tools available, how they work, and their applications in combat. It will also cover synergies, cooldowns, and core concepts to get to grips with.
This page explains the details of each ability, and assumes you are playing at max level or are interested in the details. For information on when you will gain access to each tool, check out our dedicated leveling page here:
Devourer Demon Hunter's Main Resource
Devourer has two primary Resources, Fury and Soul Fragments. Fury is generated
by
Consume, collecting Soul Fragments, and through either
Voidblade or
Reap casts, depending on talent choices. Fury
is spent on
Void Ray and during
Void Metamorphosis. Soul
Fragments are generated from
Consume, and have a chance to be generated
each time you deal damage through
Shattered Souls.
After collecting 50 Soul Fragments (or 35 with
Soul Glutton),
you gain access to
Void Metamorphosis. While inside of
Void Metamorphosis, every 30 Soul Fragments you collect allows
you to cast
Collapsing Star once. Playing around both of
these resources is incredibly important for Devourer, and should be the first thing
you learn when getting started.
