Covenant Assault Battle Pets in Shadowlands Patch 9.1

There are a total of 7 Battle Pets that are obtainable by completing the Covenant Assaults in The Maw. Some of them require just completing the Assault while others also need some extra effort.

Copperback Etherwyrm has the following abilities:

• Furious Flapping or Blinkstrike
• Arcane Storm or Wild Winds
• Prismatic Barrier or Arcane Dash

Fodder has the following abilities:

• Bone Bite or Creepy Chomp
• Plague Breath or Sludge Claw
• Meat Hook or Reanimate

Invasive Buzzer has the following abilities:

• Slicing Wind or Wind Burst
• Paralyzing Venom or Locust Swarm
• Great Sting or Puncture Wound

Infused Etherwyrm has the following abilities:

• Flyby or Wind Burst
• Arcane Storm or Wild Winds
• Mana Surge or Surge of Power

In order to obtain this pet you need to free it from a cage with Etherwyrm Cage Key that is dropped by an Elusive Keybinder. The Elusive Keybinder is located in the Rift phase of The Maw while the cage in which the Infused Etherwyrm is located in the normal phase.

1. Accept the quest A Shady Place during Night Fae Assault
2. Enter the Rift phase of The Maw with the Unbalanced Riftstone provided from the quest A Shady Place
3. Find and slay the Elusive Keybinder to obtain the Etherwyrm Cage Key
   • Location 1 : /way 19, 33
   • Location 2 : /way 20, 33
   • Location 3 : /way 22.5, 42
   • Location 4 : /way 23.5, 39
   • There may be more locations but generally the Keybinder is found around these cordinates
4. Leave the Rift phase and enter the cave found at /way 21.11, 38.54 to free the Infused Etherwyrm trapped in the cage

Lil'Abom has the following abilities:

• Bone Bite or Scratch
• Sludge Belch or Rot
• Meat Hook or Digest Brains

For this pet you need to collect 5 different parts and combine them together to create Lil'Abom. The pieces you are looking for are: Lil'Abom Head, Lil'Abom Torso, Lil'Abom Spare Arm, Lil'Abom Right Hand and Lil'Abom Legs. All of them are located around Perdition Hold and are usually near a corpse of a Prime Scout. Unfortunately they are not always up so you need to check on them daily.

Sinfall Screecher has the following abilities:

• Face Bite or Sonic Blast
• Screech or Nocturnal Strike
• Predatory Strike or Call Darkness

• During the Kyrian Assault go to /way 30, 43.2 in The Maw
• There is a Chain of Domination coming from the ground up to the Cage — break the chain by attacking it
• Open the cage to obtain the Sinfall Screecher

Sly has the following abilities:

• Face Bite or Sneak Attack
• Crouch or Prowl
• Frolick or Feign Death

To get this Battle Pet you need to complete the Achievement A Sly Fox, which is only available during the Kyrian Assault.

• During a Kyrian Assault talk with Orator Kloe to get the Sharp Eyed buff
• Follow the footprints until they lead you to Sly
  • /way 40.7, 51.60 location 1
  • /way 38, 39.7 location 2
  • /way 33, 44.20 location 3
• You have to do this 3 times, once per Kyrian Assault
• At the end Sly will be sent to your mailbox
