Macros
Welcome to our Addons and Macros page. Here we will be covering helpful addons you can use to elevate your gameplay through a more informative UI, alongside provide some commonly used Holy Paladin macros.
Holy Paladin Specific Macros
When playing a Healer, it is recommended that you utilize Mouseover Macros that will allow you to heal players without having to target them specifically. This means that you can simply position your mouse ontop of the desired players unitframe and cast your desired spell. An example of a mouseover macro would look like:
Basic Mouseover Example
Additionally, you can utilize in game settings rather than needing to create individual macros for each ability. You can do this by enabling "Mouseover Cast" in the interface settings. You will also need to disable the "auto selfcast" setting once enabling mouseovers; otherwise every spell will be cast on you.
Generic Macros for Paladins
Mouseover Macros are also recommended for core Paladin abilities that you can utilize for many different abilities. If you decide to not to enable the mouseover seting previously mentioned, here are a few Macros we would recommend using in your gameplay:
Lay on Hands Macro
Combat Res Macro
This macro will cast
Intercession on the target you are currently
mousing over.
Divine Shield Macro
This macro will stop your current spell cast and cast
Divine Shield. This prevents you from finding yourself in situations
where you are unable to become instantly immune due to having a cast
currently going.
Mouseover Blessing of Protection
Mouseover Blessing of Freedom
Mouseover Blessing of Sacrifice
Addons
Harreks Advanced Raid Frames
In Midnight, many addons, weakauras, and overall functionality has been removed. Harreks Advanced Raid Frames gives you back some of the functionality of raid frames, allowing you to fully customize what buffs you can and cannot see on your frames, as well as the individual locations in which the buffs appear. Without this addon, you will be unable to fully customize your raid frames, regardless of which addon you download. Thankfully, Harreks Advanced Raid Frames are usable with the majority of raid frame addons, giving you the best of both worlds. If you have additional questions or require assistance, you can visit Harreks discord, Spiritbloom.Pro.
