To Do in Midnight Patch 12.0.5: Lingering Shadows

The following to-do list applies specifically to the new activities released on the week of April 21 with Patch 12.0.5:

2.2.1.

12.0.5-Specific To Do

  1. Ensure you are caught up with the Voidforge quests! This is your #1 priority! To begin the new Voidforge content upon 12.0.5 release:
    • Visit Decimus at 51.2, 68.4 in The Voidstorm. You must have played the Voidstorm campaign through the quest Domus Penumbra to see him here.
    • If Decimus does not have the new Void Forge completion questline for you, he will instead have the previous 6 weeks' of Building the Voidforge quests for you to power through.
    • The completed Voidforge provides you with TWO bonus roll tokens per week via Nebulous Voidcore Icon Nebulous Voidcores.
    • The completed Voidforge also allows you to loot Ascendant Voidcore Icon Ascendant Voidcores, from Midnight Season 1 end-game content. Ascendant Voidcore Icon Ascendant Voidcores are used to further upgrade max item level trinkets and weapons, increasing their power even more.
  2. Visit your class guide to check any new changes to your class and spec, and to learn how you should be spending your bonus rolls and Ascendant Voidcore Icon Ascendant Voidcores.
  3. Complete the introduction to Void Incursions, doing so will make weekly Incursion quests available to you. Void Assault: Eversong Icon Void Assault: Eversong and Void Assault: Zul'Aman Icon Void Assault: Zul'Aman rotate weekly, but both will reward a Ranger's Cache Icon Ranger's Cache Pinnacle cache and are worth doing if you can still use Veteran gear!
    • "Void Strikes" are smaller, continuous attacks throughout Eversong Woods or Zul'Aman. These are easily defeatable solo or in small groups.
    • "Void Incursions" are the larger invasions spurred on by your defeat of the various Void Strikes throughout the week. These are more difficult and will require more players to complete.
  4. Consider starting your Ritual Sites journey; though this system does not currently seem to reward gear, it does reward a new currency, Field Accolade Icon Field Accolade, which can be used to purchase many new housing decor items, mounts, pets, and transmogs.
    • If you enjoy the solo potential of Delves, you will likely enjoy Ritual Sites as well. You will not have your Delve companion, but Ritual Sites allow you to level through the tiers and choose your own challenges for even greater rewards.
  5. Visit Depthdiver Jeju off the coast of Zul'Aman at 68.2, 20.0 to explore another new activity, Abyss Anglers. There is no player power locked behind this activity, but if you are a collector of decor, achievements, pets, or transmog, you will certainly want to check this event out.
    • Don your diving suit and explore the depths of Zul'Aman's coast while spearfishing to collect new fish species, mystical underwater creatures, sunken treasures, and more.
  6. Queue up for Decor Duels, a brand new, prop hunt-inspired PvP mode introduced this patch. Don't be discouraged by the PvP tag; Decor Duels involve no actual combat, but instead are a quick game of hide and seek using new housing decor to blend into an instanced Silvermoon City. Even PvP haters should give this a try!
2.3.
