Subtlety Rogue Overview
Subtlety Rogue is all about combining as many buffs and effects as
possible into a short but hectic burst window. After that burst window is over
the pacing slows down until the next window.
Defensively, Subtlety is immensely powerful and can survive mechanics other
classes struggle with. While at the same time, they can control enemies to
limit the amount of damage the group or tank takes in a Mythic+ environment.

New Content
With the release of The Midnight Season 1 we will get access to plenty of new things.
Three separate new raids, with accompanying Tier-Sets as well as the start of the
Mythic+ and PvP Season there are plenty of activities to get your teeth into. If you

2.2.
Class Tuning
There has been no class-tuning since the launch of Midnight, however Blizzard
have mentioned that they will do a big set of tuning changes on March 17th and very
likely the week(s) afterwards as well. This may or may not including changes for Subtlety
but if it does we will ensure the guide remains up to date with any new changes or theorycrafting
findings.
When it comes to tuning adjustments, our next planned pass is expected to arrive
with the Midnight Season 1 launch on March 17. Our next pass will follow immediately
afterwards utilizing data gathered during the week Heroic difficulties are available;
these changes will go live with the launch of Mythic raid difficulty and Mythic+ on
March 24.
Beyond these dates, we will look to perform more tuning passes based on data gathered
during the starting weeks of Mythic difficulty for Season 1 and the March on Quel’Danas
available the week of March 31.For these two passes we err on the side of caution with
the amount of tuning we do until their respective Mythic end-bosses die to avoid being
overly disruptive to progression. After these key dates we will have several check-in passes
planned roughly a month apart. Once players obtain higher item level and better optimized gear
sets, the throughput of several specs will shift up or down relative to others and we feel
it’s important to be diligent in looking at the current state of class balance as time goes on.
3.
Leveling a Subtlety Rogue
Leveling a Rogue can be a bit tough as most of the powerful abilities are not learned until high levels. However Subtlety
can move between mobs at lightning speed with 
Shadowstrike teleporting the Rogue behind the target when used
from 
Stealth, it also has powerful cooldowns to dispatch large mobs or elites. If you want some more

Basics of Subtlety Rogue Gameplay
Subtlety Rogue is a spec that deals with multiple different resources and several
different cooldowns. The core concept of the specialization is to stack as many effects and buffs
as possible to deal massive burst damage in a short timeframe.

completely new to playing Subtlety Rogue, we suggest taking a look at our

5.
How to Gear Up as an Subtlety Rogue
Since the game offers so many routes of gearing now, be it through Mythic+,
PvP, Delves, or Raiding, it is very difficult to list the exact best-in-slot items, as these
often change for every character depending on what gear they are already
wearing. Keep in mind that the best way to find out upgrades is by simulating
your character. However, we will have Best in Slot items listed below from the
current raid tier.
Important part of the gearing process is to make sure that you try to aim
for gear that has good stats for Subtlety, along with proper gems, enchants
and other consumables, as these provide you with a decent amount of DPS.
