4. Azerite Traits for Balance Druid

The new Azerite Trait system is not yet finished but we have been given a preview of several of the new Balance-specific traits. Some traits are passive and shared amongst multiple classes and specs. Others are Balance Druid-specific and will provide minor rotational changes.

5. Balance Druid Playstyle in BfA

The Battle for Azeroth Balance Druid core remains relatively similar to the Legion version of the spec. While number tuning is still very far from over, some rotational changes can be inferred based on the changes to several of the base spells.

5.1. Single Target Rotation

Most of the core Balance Druid rotation remains very similar to its Legion version. The biggest change comes with the addition of the Eclipse Icon Eclipse passive. Players must be much more mindful of their Lunar Empowerment Icon Lunar Empowerment and Solar Empowerment Icon Solar Empowerment stacks, so as to not overcap.

5.2. AoE Rotation

Instead of casting Solar Wrath Icon Solar Wrath as your main source of Astral Power on multiple targets, the cast speed reduction on Lunar Strike Icon Lunar Strike will make that your main filler spell if it can hit extra targets. Due to the nature of Eclipse Icon Eclipse and Solar Empowerment Icon Solar Empowerment, Solar Wrath procs from casting Lunar Strike will still be a DPS increase.
