2.1.

Level 15 Talents for Torghast as Balance Druid

Nature's Balance Nature's Balance Warrior of Elune ? Warrior of Elune Force of Nature Force of Nature

Here we have two viable choices and one that could see some niche use. Nature's Balance Icon Nature's Balance is nice for the consistent Astral Power generation if you are cruising through the tower, but Force of Nature Icon Force of Nature can be a more defensive oriented option.

2.2.

Level 25 Talents for Torghast as Balance Druid

Tiger Dash Tiger Dash Renewal Renewal Wild Charge Wild Charge

You will mainly be taking Wild Charge Icon Wild Charge for the short cooldown disengage in Moonkin Form Icon Moonkin Form, which will best assist kiting mobs throughout the tower.

2.3.

Level 30 Talents for Torghast as Balance Druid

Feral Affinity Feral Affinity Guardian Affinity ? Guardian Affinity Restoration Affinity Restoration Affinity

Restoration Affinity Icon Restoration Affinity grants the spell Ursol's Vortex Icon Ursol's Vortex, which adds another utility button to help round up and then kite large groups of mobs or even that one scary one. The bonus healing is a definite plus as well.

If you do need the extra interrupt for spooky caster packs, you can choose Guardian Affinity Icon Guardian Affinity and use Incapacitating Roar Icon Incapacitating Roar to disorient a cast you could not otherwise interrupt.

2.4.

Level 35 Talents for Torghast as Balance Druid

Mighty Bash Mighty Bash Mass Entanglement Mass Entanglement Heart of the Wild Heart of the Wild

A weakness in Balance Druid's kit has normally been its lack of a single target stun, which is most often used as a secondary interrupt. Getting into a fight with a caster that either spam casts or cannot be blanket silenced by Solar Beam Icon Solar Beam is the hardest thing to deal with. Mighty Bash Icon Mighty Bash is the most common choice on this row barring some niche circumstances or build.

2.5.

Level 40 Talents for Torghast as Balance Druid

Soul of the Forest Soul of the Forest Starlord Starlord Incarnation: Chosen of Elune Incarnation: Chosen of Elune

This row is a bit more of a toss up and you can generally chose what feels the overall best. Incarnation: Chosen of Elune Icon Incarnation: Chosen of Elune is a strong cooldown which can get use on long pulls or Bosses.

Soul of the Forest Icon Soul of the Forest is not entirely bad but is worse than both options on single target. Additionally, you can sometimes have trouble cleaving multiple mobs as they are often moving around and chasing you and cleave range of Starfire Icon Starfire can often be too small to hit off of larger hit box units as well. Better in groups.

2.6.

Level 45 Talents for Torghast as Balance Druid

Twin Moons Twin Moons Stellar Drift Stellar Drift Stellar Flare Stellar Flare

Stellar Drift Icon Stellar Drift is too strong to be passed up inside Torghast. The mobility alone is invaluable while it still also outperforms Twin Moons Icon Twin Moons in most situations. Twin Moons could potentially be used in some DoT centric run to quickly get out more Moonfire Icon Moonfires but it will come at the cost of hard casts if you ever find yourself on the run.

2.7.

Level 50 Talents for Torghast as Balance Druid

Solstice Solstice Fury of Elune Fury of Elune New Moon New Moon

Solstice Icon Solstice is a strong choice for Torghast. The increased Astral Power generation can come in handy to keep Starfall Icon Starfall up when hard casting is more difficult.

Fury of Elune Icon Fury of Elune can be good with Venthyr, boss-rushing, or stacked multi-target.

3.

Balance Druid Playstyle for Torghast, Tower of the Damned

Balance Druid is a well-rounded Torghast climber. With plenty of abilities to help maintain distance and Health, it can often pull off strong runs.

The new Torghast Score system has you choose between reaching a certain mob count or rushing to the end of each floor. Balance Druid can take either route for score by making use of their advanced toolkit.

  • Stealth is one of our most powerful abilities in rushing to the end of each floor. Look to avoid most normal enemies by going into Cat Form Icon Cat Form and stealthing past detection when you can with Prowl Icon Prowl.
  • Balance Druids are kiting machines. If you ever find yourself in a pinch, feel free to use any of your low cooldown utility spells. Keep your distance using mobility (Dash Icon Dash / Wild Charge Icon Wild Charge), displacements (Typhoon Icon Typhoon / Ursol's Vortex Icon Ursol's Vortex), and now even stuns (Mighty Bash Icon Mighty Bash). On top of all this, Stellar Drift Icon Stellar Drift can keep you mobile and keep your DPS up for as long as you can maintain the buff.
  • Use your cooldowns often to clear out dangerous packs and Elites or Bosses. Always use your cooldowns before the end of a floor as any 3-minute or longer cooldowns will reset between floors.
  • Use Entangling Roots Icon Entangling Roots to separate dangerous enemies when possible. Burst down your one target and swap to the other afterwards.
  • Balance Druid gains even more access to healing spells through both Anima Powers as well as talenting Restoration Affinity Icon Restoration Affinity. When low, focus on getting away and getting yourself healed up the best you can before the mobs reach you again.
4.

Best Covenant for Torghast

For solo climbing, we would recommend Night Fae. The small mobs in Torghast are normally not hard to burn down with our base kit and Anima Powers but single target is a bit more difficult to overcome. Night Fae also have Covenant-specific Anima Powers which heavily buff Convoke the Spirits Icon Convoke the Spirits. Some bosses or elites can be slain in one Convoke or at least severely damaged.

4.1.

Best Soulbinds for Torghast

Niya with Night Fae is the obvious choice as the large Mastery burst from Grove Invigoration Icon Grove Invigoration helps with rushing down each floor. If you decide to choose Venthyr, Nadjia the Mistblade has no positional requirement and you can carry buffs from pack to pack.

4.2.

Best Conduits for Torghast

If you are running Night Fae, you should always use Conflux of Elements Icon Conflux of Elements which is a flat bonus to your elite nuking Convoke the Spirits Icon Convoke the Spirits. Overall, Umbral Intensity Icon Umbral Intensity and Fury of the Skies Icon Fury of the Skies are good for the hybrid nature of Torghast.

For the Endurance and Finesse conduits, Tough as Bark Icon Tough as Bark will help you mitigate more damage while staying in form and Tireless Pursuit Icon Tireless Pursuit will let you shift periodically to keep your movement speed up while kiting.

5.

Best Balance Druid Anima Powers

Torghast is a rogue-like dungeon crawl where you gain additional powers to help you tackle the challenges inside the tower. Here we will go over some of the Anima Powers to keep a look out for.

Not all powers will be listed, just those that have been tested or those that seem like they would synergize well with the class. Those not listed have either little information surrounding them or are too poor to use. If you are interesting in lists with all Druid and Generic Anima Powers, please use the buttons below.

Understand that this is a very loose and subjective tier-list of items and that different playstyles will prefer different powers and some powers activate others. For example, Draught of Waning Twilight Icon Draught of Waning Twilight is unusable by itself but when combined with a general power such as Corruption Antenna Icon Corruption Antenna, it can become quite good.

B-Tier Anima Powers for Balance Druid

5.4.

C-Tier Anima Powers for Balance Druid

5.6.

Elethium Powers

Elethium Powers are strong buffs that come with severe drawbacks that can range from healing reductions to loss of character control. The ones with the healing reduction passives require you to play much safer as you wont be able to easily top yourself off if you hit a rough patch and are considered "win more" options. Elethium Veil Icon Elethium Veil and Elethium Weights Icon Elethium Weights are strong throughput increases, but can cause personal frustrations down the line.
