Balance Druid DPS Gems, Enchants, and Consumables — Dragonflight 10.2
On this page, we list the best gems, enchants, flasks, potions, and food you can get for your Balance Druid, based on your stat priority. We also give budget alternatives. This page is updated for World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.2.
If you were looking for WotLK Classic content, please refer to our WotLK Classic Balance Druid gems and enchants.
Secondary Stat Choice for Balance Druids
Mastery is Balance Druid's highest simming secondary stat for most players. It is recommended you sim your character on Raidbots to get accurate results. Depending on your gear, you may want enchants, gems, and other player enhancement items that are not listed as recommended on this page.
Use the information from the Stats page to better understand the reasoning behind each choice.
Consumables for Balance Druids
Dragonflight overhauled the entire profession system. Most crafted items, including gems and enchants, have multiple ranks to them.
Profession Consumable Ranks
As part of Dragonflight's overhaul of Professions, many crafted items and consumables may have multiple ranks of quality that impact their effects. For consumables, there are potentially three ranks of an item that may be used, with Rank 3 items (shown as item level 415 in-game and with three gold stars) providing the most powerful bonuses. However, higher quality consumables will generally be more expensive and not always necessary depending on the content you are doing. You should be willing to use whatever rank of an item is most within your budget, and save higher-quality consumables for content where you will really need the extra boost!
If you would like to learn more about quality ranks on profession items, or the overhaul to professions as a whole, please see our overview below.
Best Gems for Balance Druids
You should use one Illimited Diamond with your best stat, most likely
Skillful Illimited Diamond.
In the rest of your slots, you will want to use Keen Neltharite.
Best Enchants for Balance Druids
Slot | Enchantment |
---|---|
Rings |
|
Weapon |
|
Chest |
|
Leggings |
|
Additionally, you can purchase Tiered Medallion Setting to socket your
neck up to three times. Purchase one of each rank to get three sockets on your
Neck.
Utility Enchants for Balance Druids
Bracers, Boots, and Cloaks only offer utility enchantments. Avoidance and Stamina are the most usable enchants for most situations; therefore, we recommend:
Slot | Enchantment |
---|---|
Bracers |
|
Boots |
|
Cloak |
|
Belt |
|
If you find yourself not needing the boost in survivability, the Speed enchants would be the second-best choice.
Best Phial, Potions, and Weapon Buffs for Balance Druids
For progression fights, Phial of Tepid Versatility can add some
additional survivability to make the encounter easier to handle. This is not the
highest output phial but is close enough and has the additional mentioned upside.
If you are pushing pure damage and are not concerned about survivability, you
can use Iced Phial of Corrupting Rage. This can deal a life-threatening
amount of damage to you at inopportune times, so be wary when using this phial
in harder content.
Otherwise, default to Phial of Elemental Chaos which is a good catch
all phial.
The best potion is Elemental Potion of Ultimate Power.
The best weapon imbuement is Hissing Rune.
During encounters, you can heal yourself using
Refreshing Healing Potion and
Healthstone. Make sure you use
these when in danger of dying.
For close progression pulls or for pushing your damage, you can also use a
Draconic Augment Runes.
Best Food for Balance Druids
You should eat from the Hoard of Draconic Delicacies or
Grand Banquet of the Kalu'ak
when in a group. If you are alone or no feast is down, use
Sizzling Seafood Medley.
Primordial Stones
In Patch 10.0.7, you can find a new item called Onyx Annulet from the
new activity, Zserka Vault. This will have 3 empty Primordial Stone slots.
Primordial Stones can be obtained from completing tasks in the Forbidden Reach.
The Onyx Annulet has no secondary stats and scales with the level of your
Primordial Stones but only gets increased Stamina.
The Primordial Stones mainly grant on-hit effects, healing, shielding, tertiary buffs, or buff other stones.
This item is quickly outscaled by well-stated item level 421 rings. These can still be useful when gearing up for current content.
If you are catching up, you can use the following Primordial Stones for single target.
Desirous Blood Stone
Prophetic Twilight Stone
Storm Infused Stone
