General Information

On this page, we list the best gems, enchants, flasks, potions, and food you can get for your Balance Druid, based on your stat priority. We also give budget alternatives. This page is updated for World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.0.7.

If you were looking for WotLK Classic content, please refer to our WotLK Classic Balance Druid gems and enchants.

1.

Secondary Stat Choice for Balance Druids

Mastery is Balance Druid's highest simming secondary stat for most players. It is recommended you sim your character on Raidbots to get accurate results. Depending on your gear, you may want enchants, gems, and other player enhancement items that are not listed as recommended on this page.

Use the information from the Stats page to better understand the reasoning behind each choice.

2.

Primordial Stones

In Patch 10.0.7, you can find a new item called Onyx Annulet Icon Onyx Annulet from the new activity, Zserka Vault. This will have 3 empty Primordial Stone slots. Primordial Stones can be obtained from completing tasks in the Forbidden Reach. The Onyx Annulet has no secondary stats and scales with the level of your Primordial Stones but only gets increased Stamina.

The Primordial Stones mainly grant on hit effects, healing, shielding, tertiary buffs, or buff other stones.

With current tuning, even when fully upgraded, Primordial Stones are not better than Mythic item level rings such as the crafted rings or Seal of Filial Duty Icon Seal of Filial Duty.

If you are catching up, you can use the following Primordial Stones for single target.

On multi-target, you can use these stones.

If you need just a bit more defense to survive a boss or encounter.

Keep an eye on some tuning to the system in the early weeks of its release.

Consumables for Balance Druids

Dragonflight overhauled the entire profession system. Most crafted items, including gems and enchants, have multiple ranks to them.

3.1.

Profession Consumable Ranks

As part of Dragonflight's overhaul of Professions, many crafted items and consumables may have multiple ranks of quality that impact their effects. For consumables, there are potentially three ranks of an item that may be used, with Rank 3 items (shown as item level 415 in-game and with three gold stars) providing the most powerful bonuses. However, higher quality consumables will generally be more expensive and not always necessary depending on the content you are doing. You should be willing to use whatever rank of an item is most within your budget, and save higher-quality consumables for content where you will really need the extra boost!

If you would like to learn more about quality ranks on profession items, or the overhaul to professions as a whole, please see our overview below.

3.2.

Best Gems for Balance Druids

You should use one Illimited Diamond Icon Illimited Diamond with your best stat, most likely Skillful Illimited Diamond Icon Skillful Illimited Diamond.

In the rest of your slots, you will want to use Keen Neltharite Icon Keen Neltharite.

Utility Enchants for Balance Druids

Bracers, Boots, and Cloaks only offer utility enchantments. Avoidance and Stamina are the most usable enchants for most situations therefore we recommend:
