About Our Author

This was written by Borabank, a Balance Druid theorycrafter and raider in Encore. You can watch him on his Twitch channel or in the Dreamgrove Discord server.

1. Secondary Stat Choice for Balance Druids

Haste is Balance Druid's highest simming secondary stat for most players. It is recommended you sim your character on Raidbots to get accurate results. With the stat squish, Intellect should have a much higher priority, if not the highest for most players.

2. Gems for Balance Druids

You should use Saber's Eye of Intellect Icon Saber's Eye of Intellect in one socket, and Quick Lightsphene Icon Quick Lightsphene (or the cheaper Quick Dawnlight Icon Quick Dawnlight) in all other sockets.

3. Enchants for Balance Druids

Slot Enchantment
Neck
Back
Rings

4. Consumables for Balance Druids

Flask of the Whispered Pact Icon Flask of the Whispered Pact should be used for raids along with Potion of Deadly Grace Icon Potion of Deadly Grace as your potion of choice on single target encounters and Potion of Prolonged Power Icon Potion of Prolonged Power for sustained multi-target. You should eat Lavish Suramar Feast Icon Lavish Suramar Feast in most situations. If your guild cannot provide the Intellect feast, eating Lemon Herb Filet Icon Lemon Herb Filet or Azshari Salad Icon Azshari Salad is recommended instead. You should sim yourself using the website listed above to see which food would be better based on the stats your character has. Astral Healing Potion Icon Astral Healing Potion can be used in place of Healthstones if there are no Warlocks present.

If you can afford it, you should also use augment runes (which work in both raids and Mythic+ dungeons). Defiled Augment Rune Icon Defiled Augment Rune is the cheap rune with a one-time use. Lightforged Augment Rune Icon Lightforged Augment Rune costs 40,000 Gold and requires exalted reputation with the Army of the Light faction.
