Shadow Priest DPS The Eternal Palace Raid Guide — Dragonflight 10.2.5
On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Shadow Priest for each boss of the following raid: The Eternal Palace. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.2.5.
Introduction
In this section, you will find information and guidance for fighting Eternal Palace raid as a Shadow Priest. These are not complete encounter guides, but rather provide specific tips for playing as a Shadow Priest.
Talent and Essence Cheatsheet
For essences, The Crucible of Flame can also be a solid minor choice alongside the suggested minor essences. The Worldvein Resonance can be quite strong, so long as at least 4 of your allies also have this minor, particularly on fights where you can stack up for a good portion of the encounter.
Abyssal Commander Sivara
We advise you to use the following essences against Abyssal Commander Sivara.
- Major Slot
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Memory of Lucid Dreams + Lucid Dreams
- Minor Slots
- Blood of the Enemy — Rank 3: Blood-Soaked
- Essence of the Focusing Iris — Rank 3: Focused Energy
Tips
Make sure to plan your movement and try to only move during Void Bolt casts to maintain high uptime on the boss. This fight is pretty rinse and repeat, so try to find your spot and move as little as possible.
For more information, please refer to our Abyssal Commander Sivara strategy guide.
Blackwater Behemoth
We advise you to use the following essences against Blackwater Behemoth.
- Major Slot
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Memory of Lucid Dreams + Lucid Dreams
- Minor Slots
- Blood of the Enemy — Rank 3: Blood-Soaked
- Essence of the Focusing Iris — Rank 3: Focused Energy
Tips
If you find yourself transitioning too quickly to get off two Voidforms in a row (1st with Memory of Lucid Dreams, 2nd with high Chorus of Insanity stacks), you can swap out Memory of Lucid Dreams as your Major Essence and use Condensed Life-Force instead. If you make this swap, you will also want to swap Memory of Lucid Dreams into one of your Minor slots.
Shadow Crash can be used here, but targeting things is a bit more complex than usual. For this reason, Auspicious Spirits should be used.
Be sure to talent out of Body and Soul for this encounter, as the speed increase does not apply while swimming. I prefer to use Intangibility since you can use dispersion in a few good places for this encounter.
For more information, please refer to our Blackwater Behemoth strategy guide.
Radiance of Azshara
We advise you to use the following essences against Radiance of Azshara.
- Major Slot
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Memory of Lucid Dreams + Lucid Dreams
- Minor Slots
- Blood of the Enemy — Rank 3: Blood-Soaked
- Essence of the Focusing Iris — Rank 3: Focused Energy
Tips
You can use Mass Dispel to help your healers with Arcane Bomb. When you phase and the adds come out, you likely just want to double DoT the main large add with both Shadow Word: Pain and Vampiric Touch, as the small ones should die quickly depending on your raid composition.
For more information, please refer to our Radiance of Azshara strategy guide.
Lady Ashvane
We advise you to use the following essences against Lady Ashvane.
- Major Slot
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Memory of Lucid Dreams + Lucid Dreams
- Minor Slots
- Blood of the Enemy — Rank 3: Blood-Soaked
- Essence of the Focusing Iris — Rank 3: Focused Energy
Tips
Since the Briny Bubbles are usually not stacked on the boss, you should use Auspicious Spirits for this encounter. You can use Leap of Faith on players that accidentally get shot up by Upsurge.
For more information, please refer to our Lady Ashvane strategy guide.
Orgozoa
We advise you to use the following essences against Orgozoa.
- Major Slot
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Memory of Lucid Dreams + Lucid Dreams
- Minor Slots
- Blood of the Enemy — Rank 3: Blood-Soaked
- Essence of the Focusing Iris — Rank 3: Focused Energy
Tips
This boss is particularly well suited for Shadow Priest, especially in Mythic. As you start to progress this boss in any difficulty, or usually in Mythic, Misery will become the preffered talent due to the amount of time the adds stay alive.
For more information, please refer to our Orgozoa strategy guide.
The Queen's Court
We advise you to use the following essences against The Queen's Court.
- Major Slot
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Memory of Lucid Dreams + Lucid Dreams
- Minor Slots
- Blood of the Enemy — Rank 3: Blood-Soaked
- Essence of the Focusing Iris — Rank 3: Focused Energy
Tips
Make sure not to cast the same ability twice in a row. This should be quite doable as a Shadow Priest, just be careful about back to back Mind Flays. If you find yourself in that type of situation, just use Shadow Word: Pain or wait for your next Void Bolt and then continue on with your rotation.
For more information, please refer to our The Queen's Court strategy guide.
Za'qul, Harbinger of Ny'alotha
We advise you to use the following essences against Za'qul, Harbinger of Ny'alotha.
- Major Slot
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Memory of Lucid Dreams + Lucid Dreams
- Minor Slots
- Blood of the Enemy — Rank 3: Blood-Soaked
- Purification Protocol — Rank 3: Purification Protocol
Tips
Since the adds are usually not stacked on the boss, you should use Auspicious Spirits for this encounter. Time your Memory of Lucid Dreams usage around when you go into the Delirium realm, as the Haste increase will allow you to get even higher stacks and deal large boss damage.
Using Purification Protocol is particularly nice for this encounter due to the increase to aberration damage. You can also use Focused Energy if you do not have Purification Protocol.
For more information, please refer to our Za'qul, Harbinger of Ny'alotha strategy guide.
Queen Azshara
We advise you to use the following essences against Queen Azshara.
Be sure to keep good positioning so that you can use Leap of Faith on allies if they get into a bad spot while being beckoned.
For more information, please refer to our Queen Azshara strategy guide.
