Mistweaver Monk Healing Gear and Best in Slot — The War Within (11.2)
On this page, you will find the best gear and best in slot items for your Mistweaver Monk in World of Warcraft The War Within (11.2).
BiS Gear Guide for Mistweaver Monks
Because of the diverse nature of gear and the variability of item level due to things like the weekly cache, a true "best in slot" list is slippery. You should always be equipping items that will benefit you based on your stat weights. To acquire said weights, use WoW Analyzer. More on that can be found below.
To find out how to best augment your gear with enchants and gems and optimize your characters with consumables, check out our Gem, Enchant, and Consumable page below.
Gearing up for The War Within
Upon reaching Level 80, you have 3 main options to start gearing your character: Dungeons and Raids, PvP such as Arena or Battlegrounds, and world systems like Renown with the four main Reputations.
Once you can get invited to Mythic dungeons, be sure to complete each one during your first week, then look to see if you can find groups for your preferred style of play, be that Mythic+ or Rated PvP.

- B Tier: are slightly weaker than A but may be lacking in certain areas.
- C Tier: are middling trinkets that have either difficult-to-use effects or random procs that drastically reduce their effective value.
- D Tier: These are generally worthless trinkets you should avoid.
A Tier
Diamantine Voidcore
Astral Antenna
Ara-Kara Sacbrood
Signet of the Priory
So'leah's Secret Technique
B Tier
First Class Healing Distributor
Bursting Lightshard
Mereldar's Toll
C Tier
Darkfuse Medichopper
Lily of the Eternal Weave
Empowering Crystal of Anub'ikkaj
Harvester's Edict

Embellishments
When an item is being crafted, you can add a reagent called an Embellishment that will cause that piece of gear to have a specific proc, depending on the reagent used. Additionally, some pieces of gear come with embellishments already on them. You can wear a maximum of 2 pieces of embellished gear.
The following are the best Embellishments for Mistweaver Monk:
-
Darkmoon Sigil: Ascension
-
Darkmoon Sigil: Symbiosis
Tier Sets
Tier Sets are a group of items that provide you with bonuses depending on how many items of that group you equip. These are always dropped from raids, but you can also acquire them from your Great Vault or by upgrading items via the Matrix Catalyst. The bonuses for Mistweavers are as follows:
Master of Harmony:
Monk Master of Harmony 11.2 Class Set 2pc — Gaining vitality has an increasing chance to cause your next
Tiger Palm to unleash a Harmonic Surge, dealing high Nature damage split between your target and other nearby enemies, and a large amount of healing to up to 5 injured allies.
Monk Master of Harmony 11.2 Class Set 4pc — Casting
Thunder Focus Tea guarantees that your next 2 cast of
Tiger Palm will trigger a Harmonic Surge.
Conduit of the Celestials:
Monk Conduit of the Celestials 11.2 Class Set 2pc —
Heart of the Jade Serpent additionally triggers for 8 sec at 100% effectiveness after you cast
Thunder Focus Tea.
Monk Conduit of the Celestials 11.2 Class Set 4pc —
Heart of the Jade Serpent increases your haste by 15% while active and for 4 sec afterwards.
The Durable Information Securing Container (DISC) Belt
Patch 11.1.7 introduced a unique belt, the Durable Information Securing Container.
By venturing into delves you are be able to acquire this item
after a short questline.
The belt can reach a maximum item level of 701, meaning it will remain relevant
until you start to push into Mythic raids or higher level Mythic+.
Of the 9 powers on offer, we will want to use Spark Burst, though
Critical Chain is also a good option. Changing powers is as simple
as right-clicking your belt, so feel free to experiment.
For Mythic+ you may be tempted to run Static Charge, however due to
our high APM play style, you will likely find yourself burning through that proc
before you can make effective use of it.
