Best Gems, Enchants, Food, and Flasks for Mistweaver Monk
This section specifically covers the optimal gems, enchants, food, and flasks to use for your character. To get a more detailed rundown of the different stats for Mistweaver Monk, please visit our dedicated Stats page.
Recommended Gems
Your priority for gems differs slightly between raiding and Mythic+, due to the difference in how they affect your healing and DPS output.
Raiding
The best stats for Raiding Mistweaver Monks are Haste and Crit, so that is what we will be gemming for.
You should use
Indecipherable Eversong Diamond in one socket, then fill the
rest of your sockets with
Flawless Deadly Peridots.
Mythic+
The best stats for Mythic+ Mistweaver Monks are still Haste and Crit but that can change depending on your goals. Haste will always be ideal to stack until you hit diminishing returns, but depending on if you intend pushing into higher levels of keys, Versatility will start becoming more and more important. It doesn't provide quite as much damage or healing throughput as Crit, but the damage reduction component will start to become necessary to survive the scaling 1-shot mechanics of high keys. Adjusting your gems is the fastest way to get more Versatility if you need it to survive.
Most of the time, you should use
Indecipherable Eversong Diamond in one socket then
fill the rest with
Flawless Deadly Peridots. However if you are finding that you are
comfortable on your haste and want a tiny bit more tankiness, you can opt for
Flawless Quick Lapis
instead. That being said, you will probably get better mileage by just sticking with the Peridots.

Consumable Recommendations
Consumables substantially increase the power of your character for a limited time. Any time you are challenging yourself with difficult content, it is advisable that you buff yourself with Flasks, Food, Potions, and Weapon Oils.
Flasks
For most content
Flask of the Blood Knights will be your standard choice, as
it provides our strongest throughput stat. In Mythic+, there may be times in which you
find that the extra Versatility from
Flask of Thalassian Resistance is more
beneficial in order to leverage the slight damage reduction.
Foods
For optimal throughput, you should be using
Silvermoon Parade/
Harandar Celebration
in order to gain primary stat. However, if these feasts are unavailable to you (as they can be
cost prohibitive) then you should make use of
Royal Roast. The secondary stat it provides is
weaker than the Intellect you would gain from a feast, but it is much more affordable.
Potions and Weapon Oils
Mistweavers generally have three options for potions:
Potion of Devoured Dreams
for maximal mana return,
Lightfused Mana Potion for immediate mana return, and
Light's Potential for throughput. Generally, in raids you will be using
Potion of Devoured Dreams
and in Mythic+ you will be using
Lightfused Mana Potion, but it is a good idea
to carry a stock of all three in order to use whichever is best in the moment.
The best Weapon Oil for Mistweavers is
Thalassian Phoenix Oil as it buffs both of our
strongest secondary stats.
