Ahn'Qiraj War Effort Overview

The War Effort tasks all players on each server with collecting a massive amount of materials for the upcoming war, as well as acting as a timegate for the opening of the Ahn'Qiraj raids.

Once players had managed to gather all of the required materials, a 10-hour battle would ensue and players with The Scepter of the Shifting Sands would be able to obtain their Scarab Lord title and mount.

We have put together a full list of the required items for the War Effort, divided based on neutral/faction-specific goals.

Each questgiver can be located at the Military Ward in Ironforge for the Alliance and the Valley of Spirits in Orgrimmar for the Horde.

* Note that these amounts are for one faction. So, both the Alliance and Horde will need to gather these. As an example; 800,000 Runecloth Bandages are needed in total to complete the overall effort.

The signets that you can earn as both Alliance and Horde can be spent to receive additional boxes of Ahn'Qiraj War Effort Supplies. Note that, as you increase the amount of signets you spend at once, the value of your loot increases.

If you spend 5 signets, you are likely to only receive some green items and scrolls, but if you spend 30 signets, your loot will mostly be blues and, if you are lucky, epics.

For each hand-in, you will only receive 1 box, regardless of which quest you hand in. Only the value of the loot inside changes.

Also, depending on where you turn in the quest, for 1 signet you will get 5, and for 10 signets you will get 75 reputation for the city of your choosing; this is the same when turning in cloth. This will help you increase your reputation to other cities of your faction so you will be able to purchase their own racial mounts when you become Exalted with them.
