With Molten Core receiving two increased difficulty levels that greatly
increase the Fire damage taken by your raid, fire resistance gear becomes a
requirement for success. On this page you can see all of the new recipes and the
materials required to upgrade your fire resistance gear into their new, powerful
versions!
With the high amount of incoming Fire damage in Molten Core, reaching an ideal
amount of Fire resistance will greatly help you survive these dangers. Below you
will find our recommended Fire resistance values to aim for; depending on your
raid group, you may want to aim for a higher amount.
160 Fire resistance, 38.10% average mitigation.
210 Fire resistance, 50% average mitigation.
245 Fire resistance, 56.25% average mitigation.
Overall, we recommend aiming for at least 210 Fire resistance as this will
prevent you from taking a non-mitigated attack, as well as reducing an average
50% of all incoming Fire damage. Depending on various factors in your
raids, such as healing output or boss kill times, you may want to wear even
more Fire resistance gear to help overcome the increased difficulty.
