Game Time values to cast Lava Wave at the right time to maximize the Experience gained with it.

1.

Introduction

Lava Wave Icon Lava Wave allows you to soak distant lanes while getting Experience from other lanes or while helping allied Heroes. This is possible because Heroes who kill Minions with Abilities or Basic Attacks will automatically collect the Experience from the Minions. Lava Wave always kills Minions when hitting them, so it can reliably be used to soak.

What is the best moment to cast Lava Wave Icon Lava Wave if you want to catch as many Minions as possible? The answer is different for almost every lane across all Maps because Lava Wave takes a different amount of time to travel from one side of the battlefield to the opposite one. After casting a lot of Lava Waves, we have managed to extrapolate Lava Wave Timings for each lane on each Map.

This guide has been created with the help of Debug Mode, a special Sandbox for all Maps. If you want to test out our Lava Wave timings on a specific Map that is not available as Sandbox in Custom Games, follow the instructions provided in our Debug Mode Guide.

Usage

You can use the Lava Wave timings provided in this guide to cast Lava Wave Icon Lava Wave when the Game Time shows the corresponding amount of seconds, or a few seconds after that. This way you will maximize the Experience you gain from it and help your team level up faster. Furthermore, catching an extra wave of Minions means you can stay in another lane for 30 seconds longer, getting similar value to global Heroes.

When it comes to casting Lava Wave Icon Lava Wave based on Lava Wave timings, being slightly late is not bad because you or an allied Hero will usually be able to soak Experience from enemy Minions that are close to dying from allied Structures or Minions. On the other hand, being too early is not ideal because it could cause Lava Wave to miss the whole next wave of Minions.

In some situations you may need to ignore Lava Wave timings and cast Lava Wave Icon Lava Wave for other reasons than soaking as much as Experience as possible: defensively, to quickly kill enemy Minions near allied Structures and deter the enemy team from pushing, or offensively, to deal damage to enemy Heroes who are fighting in lane. The closer to your Core enemy Heroes are, the easier will be to take opponents by surprise.

Timings

All you have to remember is the first number for every lane on each Map. You do not need to learn the second number because you can easily calculate it by adding 30 seconds to the first number. Considering that Lava Wave Icon Lava Wave has 120 seconds of cooldown and that is divisible by 30 seconds, after timing it for a given lane, you can cast it on cooldown in the same lane.

If you do not want to learn all these numbers or if you cannot remember what are the correct Lava Wave timings for a given Map while playing, bookmark this guide.
