TBC Classic Holy Priest Pre-Raid Gear

In this section we will go over the different gear available for Holy Priests before entering raids. We will offer multiple different pieces as some can be rather expensive or very rare to find. It is also recommended as a Priest to avoid wearing too many pieces of gear with little-to-no Stamina, as you already have a low base health pool.

For the most part we will exclude PvP gear choices. While PvP gear can be a very powerful option for some slots, the gear will require many hours of battlegrounds or weeks of arena point farming to obtain while not being a "best" choice. We recommend only investing time into farming a couple of these pieces at most as the lack of fully PvE focused stats can leave you lacking in certain aspects (such as bonus healing or spirit).

Whitemend Hood is a very strong, but expensive head piece. Since it will be replaced in Tier 4 raids, it may be worth getting one of the alternative options instead to save some gold.

Lifegiving Cloak is another expensive BoE option that gets replaced in Tier 4, making it recommended to grab one of the alternative pieces. Avian Cloak of Feathers is very strong and can be farmed fairly easily.

Primal Mooncloth Robe is another very strong tailoring piece that will last you for a long time in phase one. Hallowed Garments is a very solid chest piece till you can acquire it, or if you aren't a tailor.

All three of your glove choices are very similar in their benefits. Pick whichever one fits in with your other gear needs when choosing a dungeon to farm.

Priests have quite a few leg options to work with. Pontifex Kilt and Kamaei's Cerulean Skirt are very strong choices to grab here. While Whitemend Pants are a very solid selection, they are not strong enough to justify their cost as they are replaced by options here, as well as in Tier 4. Save the gold on these and aim for another option on the list.

Boots of the Pious and Slippers of Serenity are very similar in stats, making them both viable options. Shattrath Jumpers are an easy to acquire filler option till you can get something better.

Priests have a large selection of trinkets available to them, and they should be using most of the mentioned trinkets, swapping them in and out as needed. Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon remains as your best in slot mana regeneration trinket as Circle of Healing makes it much easier to proc. Bangle of Endless Blessings is another trinket focused on mana regeneration and is typically suggested only in low gear.

Lower City Prayerbook is a powerful trinket for how easy it can be obtained, synergizing well with Circle of Healing. Finally, Alchemist's Stone offers a huge increase to mana regen, averaging out to be 40 mana per 5. It's worth noting that this trinket can be swapped in and out during trash to greatly increase the mana gained from your potions.

Utilize the best trinkets for the best situation. On longer fights aim for more mana regeneration trinkets, such as Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon or Alchemist's Stone. Shorter fights will favor bonus healing trinkets if you don't run the risk of running out of mana.

If you have the 1,850 rating requirement, you can get Gladiator's Salvation, which is your best in slot pre-raid healing weapon. Hand of Eternity and The Ancient Scepter of Sue-Min will most likely be expensive enough to make them not worth the gold as they get replaced rather quickly.

Soul-Wand of the Aldor is a great wand, giving you a good balanced of desirable stats. Flawless Wand is a great option if you can find it with the suffix "of the Prophet" or "of Healing".
