Season 32 Tier List: Group Trash Killer Rankings
This page goes over the current state of each class in Season 32 in respect to their best group trash killing build capabilities and provides comparative ranking of the builds.
Top Group Trash Killer Builds for each Class
For most 4-player group compositions, the DPS roles are split into two forms: AoE and single target. The AoE DPS is in charge of clearing the rift through maximizing area damage and huge density pulls while the single target dps is known as the RGK, or rift guardian killer. Because the damage styles are so unique, you usually have to separate them into two different DPS for optimal results. Here is the list of the best AoE builds, or trash killer builds for each class.
Barbarian
In Season 28, Raekor was reworked and massively buffed to primarily benefit Boulder Toss. This along with several other Barbarian builds dominated the leaderboards that season, but that was also primarily due to the massive seasonal theme power that Barbs had access to. Boulder Toss still retains an incredible amount of power coming into this season, and should be the go-to Barbarian build for both solo-pushing and powerful, trash clearing DPS as a Barbarian.
Crusader
Even after some nerfs in the previous season, the Fist of the Heavens Crusader is still exceptional for Season 28. While this is not the fastest build, it is incredibly durable, an excellent trash clearer, and is once again looking to be the top Crusader build overall, especially with the new class powers giving it an ample buff.
Demon Hunter
New in Season 28, Natalya's was reworked to be build around Spike Traps. This is looking to be an extremely powerful, but complex build that requires a multiple-button setup, solid positioning, and practice to execute well. Demon Hunters overall are looking quite strong in the new season, so if you are looking for a new challenge, definitely give the class a shot. Additionally, Spike Trap DH has a built in knockback for enemies, making it even better for trash killing in GRs.
Monk
While the Inna's set has reigned supreme for Monks for multiple seasons now, the WoL Monk is looking to be the single strongest overall build this season. This is entirely due to the powerful new class power that Monks get this season, specifically juicing up the Wave of Light build into something even more incredible than it already was.
Necromancer
Necromancers are getting several powerful new builds this season, including some massive buffs to the Death Nova builds. Especially with some of the specific seasonal theme powers, Necromancers are looking to absolutely dominate this season, with several S-tier builds to choose from.
Witch Doctor
Witch Doctors received some much-needed changes in Season 20 with the addition of the Mundunugu's Regalia set. This set uses Spirit Barrage to deal massive AoE damage, and has proven to be the most powerful Witch Doctor build to date by far, potentially being used in the group meta for non-seasonal as a trash clearing build. This build did receive some substantial nerfs in Season 21 by reclassifying the phantasms to not be pets anymore, but this build was already so far ahead of every other Witch Doctor build that it should have no trouble retaining its spot as the top pushing build for Witch Doctors.
Wizard
With some last-minute changes to a few key items, Meteor Wizards are looking to be extremely powerful in the new season. The ability to run both Meteor Shower and Star Pact as runes should make both Tal Rasha and LoD potent builds capable of clearing at the highest level. This has the potential to be a huge power spike, maybe even more than was intended with these last-minute changes.
