This page goes over the current state of each class in respect to their best group RGK build capabilities and provides comparative ranking of the builds.

Top Group Rift Guardian Killer Builds for each Class

For most 4-player group compositions, the DPS roles are split into two forms: AoE and single target. The AoE DPS is in charge of clearing the rift through maximizing area damage and huge density pulls while the single target dps is known as the RGK, or rift guardian killer. Because the damage styles are so unique, you usually have to separate them into two different DPS for optimal results. Here is the list of the best RGK builds for each class.

For most RGK builds, having a fast attack speed is critical to maximize your use of Bane of the Stricken Bane of the Stricken for the stacking DPS gain. The HotN Savage Frenzy Barb is one of the prime examples of that. This Barbarian build boasts one of the fastest attack speeds of any build, decimating single enemies that it can build stacks on. While not the best RGK overall, it is easily the top Barb RGK build.

Even after some nerfs, the Heaven's Fury Crusader is still exceptional for Season 24. While this is not the fastest build, it is incredibly durable, an excellent elite hunter/RGK, and is once again looking to be the top Crusader build overall.

Demon Hunter

Demon Hunter is the worst class for RGK builds, especially this tier. Ethereals just do not benefit any of the normal RGK DH builds, specifically the Impale build. LoD Rapid Fire is going to be your best bet, but with how incredibly powerful Demon Hunters are in every other role, your best bet is almost certainly going to be leaving the RGK to someone else.

With the new patch and season, Monks are the class that received the most substantial changes. The combination of some item buffs and Ethereals have brought LoD Wave of Light Monk back into the S-tier from long ago, while also retaining its speed as one of the fastest clearing builds in the game. Additionally, we have a new build for Monks thanks to the changes to the Innas set, which gives Monks a minion-based build of sorts that has some insane pushing potential as well, and is an excellent RGK. Monk has far and away the most varied build choices this season, so if you are looking for multiple builds to try, Monk is the answer.

Thanks to some severe nerfs to the previously dominant Bone Spear Necromancer, the LoD Necro builds will now reign supreme. There are a few different ones to try, but it is looking like the LoD Poison Scythe necromancer will be the top pushing choice, especially with the addition of Ethereals. This is a slow build, but is still one of the most durable builds in the game, and works decently well as a RGK build.

Witch Doctor

The Poison Dart Witch Doctor is indirectly receiving some huge buffs for Season 24 thanks to the addition of Ethereal items. Witch Doctors have some insane choices for weapons, but the Poison Dart build is one of the clear winners. This was already a strong RGK choice, but it will be even more potent this season with the new weapons.

In Season 23, the Firebird's Finery set was redesigned (see Patch 2.7). This new design has brought this set back from extinction, straight into the S-tier along with the best builds in the game. Both as a trash clearer and RGK, Firebird's is going to once again be a powerhouse in Season 24 for Wizards everywhere, and is likely to once again be the single most popular build in the new season.
