1. Heroes Stitches Works Well With

In this section, we will look at Heroes that work particularly well with Stitches.

1.1. Arthas

Arthas Portrait Arthas is a superb Hero to pair with Stitches, as he has extremely good damage (both burst and sustained), and can Root targets with Howling Blast Icon Howling Blast to either set up for your combo, or to provide follow up crowd control. If you have an Arthas on your team, you want to roam with him and search for ganks as much as possible.

1.2. Tyrande

Tyrande Portrait Tyrande is the perfect Hero to complement team compositions that focus on burst damage. Lunar Flare Icon Lunar Flare can be used on enemies hit by Hook Icon Hook, guaranteeing that it will find its mark. Additionally, Hunter's Mark Icon Hunter's Mark increases all damage taken by a marked target for a few seconds, which is ideal for Stitches, who needs burst damage to quickly kill hooked enemies. Sentinel Icon Sentinel helps to spot targets to gank and Light of Elune Icon Light of Elune offers some additional healing to keep you alive.

1.3. Uther

Uther Portrait Uther is able to lock down targets with Hammer of Justice Icon Hammer of Justice and Divine Storm Icon Divine Storm immediately following a successful Hook Icon Hook. Uther can also use Holy Light Icon Holy Light, Holy Radiance Icon Holy Radiance, Cleanse Icon Cleanse, and Divine Shield Icon Divine Shield to keep you alive if you are prioritised by enemy Heroes. Uther is the perfect Support Hero to keep you alive and free to deal damage in team fights, especially versus enemies with lots of crowd control.

2. Heroes Stitches Is Countered By

In this section, we will look at Heroes that counter Stitches particularly well.

2.1. Tracer

Tracer Portrait Tracer can use Blink Icon Blink to easily dodge Hook, and Recall Icon Recall to reverse the displacement of Hook if it lands. This can make her frustrating to deal with on Stitches, because you cannot zone her as effectively as other squishy damage dealers.

2.1.1. How To Play Against Tracer

Focus on hooking Heroes other than Tracer, as they will be much more affected by its displacement. She is has an exceptionally low Health pool, so Basic Attack and Slam her whenever she comes into range. Be especially careful of your positioning, as you will have no way to shake her without a gap closer.

2.2. Uther

Uther Portrait Uther is well known for his ability to lock down targets with Hammer of Justice Icon Hammer of Justice and sometimes Divine Storm Icon Divine Storm, but it is Cleanse Icon Cleanse and Divine Shield Icon Divine Shield in particular that make him a formidable foe. Divine Shield and healing allow Uther to save an ally that has been Hook Icon Hooked, so try and pull enemies that are not within range of Uther.

2.2.1. How To Play Against Uther

There are a few strategies to deal with Divine Shield. You can try to bait Uther into using it prematurely, by feigning your combo, or you can kill an enemy Hero before Uther has time to react. You can also target enemy Heroes that are too far from Uther, and out of range of Divine Shield. The best way to play against Uther is to simply make him use Divine Shield as early as possible, retreat, and then re-engage when it is down.

2.3. Zeratul

Zeratul Portrait Zeratul is a cloaked Hero with very high burst damage. This makes him very good at invading you even under allied Towers, since Structures will only target him once revealed. Unlike Nova, Zeratul has Blink Icon Blink, allowing him to blink over walls to escape or to kill you in a spot that may have otherwise seemed safe. Zeratul can Void Prison Icon Void Prison your Support, allowing you to be easily focused down. Void Prison can be used on you or your allies if you Hook Icon Hook an enemy Hero, allowing them to escape. Additionally, Blink makes it very difficult to land Hook Icon Hook on him.

2.3.1. How To Play Against Zeratul

Aside from dealing very high damage, the biggest problem about Zeratul is his Void Prison Icon Void Prison, which can be used on your allies when you dive, preventing them from assisting for the duration and allowing Zeratul (and his allies) to burst you down. This can be devastating, so it is extremely important to always be aware of what Void Prison can do. Note that without Blink Icon Blink, Zeratul is completely defenseless and he should be targeted immediately.
