TBC Classic Holy Priest Phase 2 / Tier 5 Gear and Best in Slot
On this page, you will find the best Tier 5 PvE gear and best in slot items for your Holy Priest in TBC Classic Phase 2.
Holy Priest Phase 2 / Tier 5 Best in Slot Gear
In this guide we will go over the different gear available for Holy Priests in Phase Two raids. We will offer multiple different pieces as some can be rather expensive or very rare to find. It is also recommended as a Priest to avoid wearing too many pieces of gear with little-to-no Stamina, as you already have a low base health pool.
Other Holy Priest Best in Slot Lists
If you are starting out as a freshly-leveled Holy Priest, our pre-raid best in slot list is meant to give you an idea of non-raid items you can chase as a solo / pug player in preparation for raids.
Do note that items from Heroic dungeons or that require Primal Nethers (which are obtained from Heroics) can be harder to get than raid items due to their daily lockout. Some Heroic dungeons are also harder than most of Karazhan.
If your character is still progressing through the content of Tier 4 or is ready to take on Tier 6, then you may wish to consult their best in slot lists instead.
|Best||Cowl of the Avatar||
||Lady Vashj — Serpentshrine Cavern|
|Option||Powerheal 4000 Lens||
||Powerheal 4000 Lens — Engineering|
Cowl of the Avatar is a very powerful head piece, offering all of our desired stats. Powerheal 4000 Lens is a great alternative if you have Engineering.
|Best||Lord Sanguinar's Claim||Kael'thas Sunstrider — The Eye|
This powerful necklace is the only real main option available to players in Phase Two. Wear your current Phase One neck until you can get your hands on this one.
|Best||Mantle of the Avatar||2 x Teardrop Living Ruby||Void Reaver — The Eye|
This is another tier piece that is a direct upgrade, offering us very high stats.
|Best||Sunshower Light Cloak||Kael'thas Sunstrider — The Eye|
Another very strong piece that lasts for the next couple phases, get this as soon as you can.
|Best||Vestments of the Avatar||3 x Teardrop Living Ruby||Kael'thas Sunstrider — The Eye|
This is yet another piece of best in slot gear from Kael'thas Sunstrider. Pick this up whenever possible.
|Best||Wraps of Purification||no sockets||Hydross the Unstable — Serpentshrine Cavern|
|Option||Veteran's Mooncloth Cuffs||1 x Luminous Noble Topaz||11,794 Honor Points, 20 x Warsong Gulch Mark of Honor|
Wraps of Purification is your best in slot wrist option, but Veteran's Mooncloth Cuffs is a decent option until you can pick them up.
|Best||Gloves of the Avatar||Leotheras the Blind — Serpentshrine Cavern|
This is another tier piece offering us all of our main stats.
|Best||Belt of the Long Road||
||Belt of the Long Road — Tailoring|
This belt does not require Tailoring to equip; only to make it. Make sure to get yours made as soon as the Nether Vortexs are available.
|Best||Breeches of the Avatar||1 x Purified Shadow Pearl||Fathom-Lord Karathress — Serpentshrine Cavern|
|Option||Gilded Trousers of Benediction||3 x Teardrop Living Ruby||Doomwalker|
Gilded Trousers of Benediction still remain a solid choice offering a very high amount of Bonus Healing. Breeches of the Avatar is a great upgrade, offering high Bonus Healing as well as a massive amount of desirable base stats.
||Fathom-Lord Karathress — Serpentshrine Cavern|
|Option||Boots of the Long Road||no sockets||Boots of the Long Road — Tailoring|
Soul-Strider Boots are the preferred best in slot option for Phase Two, but Boots of the Long Road is a good alternative if you have Tailoring.
|Best||Coral Band of the Revived||Lady Vashj — Serpentshrine Cavern|
|Best||Violet Signet of the Grand Restorer||The Violet Eye — Exalted|
|Option||Phoenix-Ring of Rebirth||Al'ar — The Eye|
Luckily we have a few options here for our ring slot. Grab the best ones you can and fill in with some of the easier options.
|Best||Earring of Soulful Meditation||The Lurker Below — Serpentshrine Cavern|
|Best||Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon||Darkmoon Beast Deck|
|Best||Essence of the Martyr||41 x Badge of Justice|
|Best||Scarab of the Infinite Cycle||Aeonus — Black Morass|
|Option||Alchemist's Stone||Alchemist's Stone — Alchemy|
Priests have a large selection of trinkets available to them and they should be using most of the mentioned trinkets, swapping them in and out as needed. Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon remains as your best in slot Mana regeneration trinket as Circle of Healing makes it much easier to proc.
Finally, Alchemist's Stone offers a huge increase to Mana regen, averaging out to be 40 Mana per 5. It is worth noting that this trinket can be swapped in and out during trash to greatly increase the Mana gained from your potions.
Utilize the best trinkets for the best situation. On longer fights aim for more Mana regeneration trinkets, such as Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon or Alchemist's Stone. Shorter fights will favor Bonus Healing trinkets if you do not run the risk of running out of Mana.
Main Hand Weapon
|Best||Lightfathom Scepter||Lady Vashj — Serpentshrine Cavern|
|Option||Ethereum Life-Staff||High Astromancer Solarian — The Eye|
Lightfathom Scepter is a huge upgrade over your Phase One weapon. Ethereum Life-Staff is a decent option if your current weapon is lacking.
Off Hand Weapon
|Best||Windcaller's Orb||Cenarion Expedition — Exalted|
|Option||Talisman of the Sun King||Al'ar — The Eye|
Windcaller's Orb is still your go-to off-hand option, offering the most pure healing stats in Phase Two. Talisman of the Sun King is a very close alternative and can be used as a Stamina piece option.
|Best||Luminescent Rod of the Naaru||Morogrim Tidewalker — Serpentshrine Cavern|
Luminescent Rod of the Naaru is our next wand upgrade, being the only upgrade for the slot in Phase Two.
