Uther's Talent Build Cheatsheet

Holy Radiance Build

Recommended
Level 1 Wave of Light Icon
Level 4 Pursuit of Justice Icon Holy Fire Icon ?
Level 7 Hand of Protection Icon Guardian of Ancient Kings Icon ?
Level 10 Divine Shield Icon Divine Storm Icon ?
Level 13 Well Met Icon Blessed Champion Icon ?
Level 16 Benediction Icon
Level 20 Redemption Icon Bulwark of Light Icon ? Divine Protection Icon ?

Uther's Holy Radiance Build increases your sustain capabilities in prolonged team fights. Be aware that Uther will never be great in those scenarios without the help of another Healer.

We recommend this Build when playing as solo Healer, however, it can also be used when playing as Support (meaning that you will have another Healer in your team) and occasionally as Tank.

Holy Shock Build

Situational
Level 1 Silver Touch Icon
Level 4 Holy Shock Icon
Level 7 Hand of Protection Icon Guardian of Ancient Kings Icon ? Armor of Faith Icon ?
Level 10 Divine Shield Icon Divine Storm Icon ?
Level 13 Well Met Icon Blessed Champion Icon ?
Level 16 Benediction Icon
Level 20 Redemption Icon Bulwark of Light Icon ?

Uther's Holy Shock Build features powerful Talents which make you a versatile Hero capable of unleashing a solid amount of damage, healing, and crowd control.

The combination of Holy Shock Icon Holy Shock at Level 4 and Silver Touch Icon Silver Touch at Level 1 is useful for dismounting enemy Heroes, especially Tanks that are trying to engage.

We recommend this Build when playing as Support (meaning that you will have another Healer in your team), however, it can also be used when playing as main Tank and occasionally as solo Healer.

Hammer of Justice Build

Situational
Level 1 Hammer of the Lightbringer Icon
Level 4 Pursuit of Justice Icon
Level 7 Hand of Protection Icon Guardian of Ancient Kings Icon ?
Level 10 Divine Storm Icon Divine Shield Icon ?
Level 13 Well Met Icon
Level 16 Benediction Icon
Level 20 Redemption Icon Bulwark of Light Icon ?

Uther's Hammer of Justice Build increases your crowd control by a considerable amount, allowing you to influence the flow of the battle more effectively than usual.

Hammer of the Lightbringer Icon Hammer of the Lightbringer at Level 1 and Well Met Icon Well Met at Level 13 are great together as they empower each other: the Slow provided by the latter makes you Basic Attack more while the cooldown reduction given by the former makes you Stun more.

We recommend this Build when playing as main Tank, however, it can also be used when playing as Support (meaning that you will have another Healer in your team). On the other hand, we do not recommend this Build when playing as solo Healer.

Holy Light Build

Situational
Level 1 Silver Touch Icon
Level 4 Holy Shock Icon
Level 7 Armor of Faith Icon Hand of Protection Icon ?
Level 10 Divine Storm Icon Divine Shield Icon ?
Level 13 Blessed Champion Icon
Level 16 Beacon of Light Icon
Level 20 Redemption Icon Bulwark of Light Icon ? Divine Protection Icon ?

Uther's Holy Light Build gives a huge boost to your healing power and survivability in the late game.

The synergy between Beacon of Light Icon Beacon of Light at Level 16 and Blessed Champion Icon Blessed Champion at Level 13 allows you to go from low to high Health with a few Basic Attacks and, at the same time, heal nearby allied Heroes for the same amount.

You can use this Build when playing as Healer, as Tank, or even as Support (meaning that you will have another Healer in your team).

Level 1 Talents for Uther

Uther Silver Touch ?
Silver Touch (Level 1) World of Warcraft Uther

Quest: Reduce damage from Heroic sources with Devotion.

Reward: After reducing damage 40 times, Holy Light's Mana cost is reduced from 80 to 60.

Reward: After reducing damage 80 times, Holy Light's Mana cost is reduced to 40, and its range is increased by 50%.

Silver Touch Icon Silver Touch is a good Talent that provides additional range for your healing via Holy Light Icon Holy Light while also reducing their Mana cost. Pick this Talent when you feel like you will not get enough value from Hammer of the Lightbringer Icon Hammer of the Lightbringer because the enemy team has too much crowd control to safely hit them with your Basic Attacks.

Uther Wave of Light
Wave of Light (Level 1) World of Warcraft Uther

Quest: Damage or heal Heroes 60 times with Holy Radiance.

Reward: Increase the duration of Devotion by 0.5 seconds.

Passive: Damaging or healing Heroes with Holy Radiance refunds 5 Mana and reduces its cooldown by 0.75 seconds.

Wave of Light Icon Wave of Light is a good Quest-based Talent that improves Holy Radiance Icon Holy Radiance by reducing its cooldown and Mana cost. The duration increase to Devotion Icon Devotion's Armor-increasing effect furthermore contributes to Uther's ability to help with survivability.

Uther Hammer of the Lightbringer ?
Hammer of the Lightbringer (Level 1) World of Warcraft Uther

Quest: Basic Attack enemies 75 times.

Reward: Basic Attacks reduce the cooldown of Hammer of Justice by 1.5 seconds.

Passive: Basic Attacks restore 1.5% of Uther's maximum Mana.

Hammer of the Lightbringer Icon Hammer of the Lightbringer is a good Quest-based Talent that can punish melee Heroes. Under ideal circumstances, Hammer of the Lightbringer will provide more Mana than its two alternative Talents, on top of a hefty cooldown reduction to Hammer of Justice Icon Hammer of Justice, particularly valuable when combined with some of the other Talents that improve Hammer of Justice.

When you have Divine Storm Icon Divine Storm as Heroic Ability, you can chain your Stuns almost perfectly:

  1. start with Hammer of Justice Icon Hammer of Justice;
  2. use Divine Storm Icon Divine Storm when the previous Stun is almost over;
  3. Basic Attack during the whole time to have a second Hammer of Justice Icon Hammer of Justice available right after the Stun from Divine Storm ends.
4.

Level 4 Talents for Uther

Uther Holy Shock ?
Holy Shock (Level 4) World of Warcraft Uther

Holy Light can be used on an enemy to do 40% of its healing amount as damage. When used this way, Uther receives its self-healing benefits, its cooldown is reduced by 6 seconds, and it refunds 45 Mana.

Holy Shock Icon Holy Shock opens up the possibility for Uther to deal a passable amount of burst damage at the cost of putting Holy Light Icon Holy Light on a short cooldown. This can be useful when your team's strategy involves bursting down one specific target.

An added benefit of this Talent is that it can trigger Devotion Icon Devotion's effect on Uther himself at a relatively low Mana cost. The downside of the Talent, however, is that it is less than useful when you must use Holy Light to keep yourself or allies alive. In short, Holy Shock is a good choice when your team is the aggressor.

Uther Pursuit of Justice ?
Pursuit of Justice (Level 4) World of Warcraft Uther

Hammer of Justice increases Uther's Movement Speed by 25% for 3 seconds.

Pursuit of Justice Icon Pursuit of Justice provides Uther with a reliable Movement Speed increase, which helps make up for his otherwise inexistent mobility.

Uther Holy Fire
Holy Fire (Level 4) World of Warcraft Uther

Deal 13 (+4% per level) damage per second to nearby enemies. Basic Attacks against enemy Heroes increase this damage by 20% for 3 seconds. This can stack up to 3 times.

Holy Fire Icon Holy Fire somewhat improves Uther's abysmal waveclear on top of providing him with a decent incentive to use Basic Attacks against Heroes.

One interesting aspect of the Talent is its ability to reveal Stealthed Heroes, turning them into valid targets for Hammer of Justice Icon Hammer of Justice without the need of casting Holy Radiance Icon Holy Radiance.

5.

Level 7 Talents for Uther

Uther Armor of Faith ?
Armor of Faith (Level 7) World of Warcraft Uther

Being Stunned, Rooted, or Silenced grants Uther 90 Mana and causes Holy Light's cooldown to recharge 200% faster for 6 seconds. This effect has a 20 second cooldown.

Armor of Faith Icon Armor of Faith is a good Talent that punishes opponents for stunning Uther himself by drastically reducing the cooldown of Holy Light Icon Holy Light. Unlike the alternative options available on this Tier, Armor of Faith Icon Armor of Faith cannot be used to help allied Heroes affected by enemy crowd control, reducing Uther's general utility but increasing his survivability.

Uther Guardian of Ancient Kings ?
Guardian of Ancient Kings (Level 7) World of Warcraft Uther

Healing a Hero with a Basic Ability that is Stunned, Rooted, or Silenced grants them 50 Armor for 3 seconds.

Guardian of Ancient Kings Icon Guardian of Ancient Kings is a good Talent that grants allied Heroes a very significant amount of Armor if you manage to heal them with Holy Light Icon Holy Light or Holy Radiance Icon Holy Radiance when they are affected by enemy crowd control. Remember that it only works with Stun, Root, and Silence.

Uther Hand of Protection
Hand of Protection (Level 7) World of Warcraft Uther
  • Cooldown: 90 seconds

Activate to make target ally Unstoppable for 1 second. Cannot be cast on Uther. Basic Attacks reduce Hand of Protection's cooldown by 5 seconds.

Hand of Protection Icon Hand of Protection is a strong Talent that can be used to make any allied Hero other than Uther himself Unstoppable for 1 second, freeing them from any crowd control effect and allowing them to channel any Ability without risking to be interrupted. While it has 30 seconds more cooldown than a standard Cleanse Icon Cleanse, you can reduce it by 30 seconds by using Basic Attacks for 6 seconds.

6.

Level 10 Talents for Uther

As Divine Shield Icon Divine Shield and Divine Storm Icon Divine Storm are both situationally very powerful, the choice of one or the other is based on personal preference and team compositions. These Abilities are discussed in further details in the Abilities section of this guide.

Uther Divine Shield
Divine Shield (Level 10) World of Warcraft Uther
  • Mana: 80
  • Cooldown: 90 seconds

Make an allied Hero Invulnerable and increase their Movement Speed by 20% for 3 seconds.

Divine Shield Icon Divine Shield is a strong Heroic Ability that provides Movement Speed to an allied Hero and also make them Invulnerable for a few seconds, a buff that will basically make them Protected and Unstoppable at the same time. Choose it when you want to help an allied Hero to make a play without the risk of being contested and/or when you need a tool to save allied Heroes from certain death.

Uther Divine Storm ?
Divine Storm (Level 10) World of Warcraft Uther
  • Mana: 80
  • Cooldown: 80 seconds

Deal 170 (+4% per level) damage and Stun nearby enemies for 1.75 seconds.

Divine Storm Icon Divine Storm is a good Heroic Ability that allows you to Stun for almost 2 seconds all enemies in a small area around you. Choose it when you need to counter-engage and/or peel for your team, regardless of your Role.

7.

Level 13 Talents for Uther

Uther Blessed Champion ?
Blessed Champion (Level 13) World of Warcraft Uther

For the next 5 seconds after using Holy Light, Uther's Basic Attacks heal him and nearby allied Heroes for 15% of the total amount healed by Holy Light.

Blessed Champion Icon Blessed Champion has the potential of providing some incredible area of effect healing. This potential, however, hinges upon being able to reliably deliver Basic Attacks, something that is seldom possible. Blessed Champion is a good counterpick to double Healer team compositions, as you will have more freedom to play aggressively with your Basic Attacks.

Uther Well Met
Well Met (Level 13) World of Warcraft Uther

When used against Heroes, Hammer of Justice reduces the target's Movement Speed and damage dealt by 25% for 3 seconds.

Well Met Icon Well Met provides a modest but reliable debuff that stacks with the Armor provided by Devotion Icon Devotion in terms of damage reduction. The Slow is also useful as well when used with Hammer of the Lightbringer Icon Hammer of the Lightbringer and Pursuit of Justice Icon Pursuit of Justice as they allow you to consistently maintain the debuff on your chosen target.

Uther Spell Shield ?
Spell Shield (Level 13) World of Warcraft Uther

Every 30 seconds, gain 50 Spell Armor against the next enemy Ability and subsequent Abilities for 3 seconds, reducing the damage taken by 50%.

Can be toggled to allow or prevent this talent from triggering automatically.

Since Uther is rarely a priority target for Abilities unless grossly mispositioned, Spell Shield Icon Spell Shield is generally superfluous.

8.

Level 16 Talents for Uther

Uther Beacon of Light ?
Beacon of Light (Level 16) World of Warcraft Uther

Uther receives 125% bonus self-healing when targeting others with Holy Light.  This bonus is increased to 250% while he is below 50% Health.

Beacon of Light Icon Beacon of Light provides half value when Uther has high Health and full value when he is low on Health by respectively more than doubling and tripling the self healing coming from Holy Light Icon Holy Light, drastically increasing his survivability in prolonged team fights.

Uther Tyr's Deliverance ?
Tyr's Deliverance (Level 16) World of Warcraft Uther

Increase the damage and healing of Holy Radiance by 10%. Basic Attacks against enemy Heroes cause Uther's next cast of Holy Radiance to have its damage and healing increased by an additional 10%, stacking up to 7 times.

Tyr's Deliverance Icon Tyr's Deliverance increases the damage and healing coming from Holy Radiance Icon Holy Radiance by 10% as flat value and by additional 10% for each Basic Attack done on enemy Heroes before casting it, stacking up to additional 70% healing when allowed to freely use Basic Attack.

We do not recommended this Talent as we find it too hard to get value from during most if not all games, especially if you consider that Benediction Icon Benediction and Beacon of Light Icon Beacon of Light will give you similar value in short and long team fights respectively.

Uther Benediction
Benediction (Level 16) World of Warcraft Uther
  • Cooldown: 60 seconds

Activate to reduce the Mana cost of Uther's next Basic Ability by 50 and its cooldown by 10 seconds.

Benediction Icon Benediction acts as a minor version of Rewind Icon Rewind, allowing you to cast the same Ability twice in a row, on top of reducing this ability's Mana cost by 50.

Benediction is notable for allowing you to cast Hammer of Justice Icon Hammer of Justice twice and therefore keep an enemy Hero Stunned for 2 seconds, value that can be made as high as 3.75 seconds by using Divine Storm Icon Divine Storm together.

When used with Holy Light Icon Holy Light, Benediction allows you to bypass a large portion of the Ability's cooldown for a significant amount of single-target healing.

Benediction is particularly powerful when used with Holy Radiance Icon Holy Radiance and when the Divine Protection Icon Divine Protection Talent has been learned to grant a massive amount of Armor to several Heroes, including yourself.

9.

Level 20 Talents for Uther

Uther Bulwark of Light ?
Bulwark of Light (Level 20) World of Warcraft Uther

Divine Shield is also applied to all nearby allied Heroes and lasts 1 second longer.

Bulwark of Light Icon Bulwark of Light is a strong Talent that can be used for protecting several Heroes at once, something that is extremely strong as a defensive tool when playing against team compositions featuring a wombo combo.

Uther Divine Hurricane ?
Divine Hurricane (Level 20) World of Warcraft Uther

Divine Storm's radius is increased by 50% and its cooldown is reduced by 40 seconds.

Divine Hurricane Icon Divine Hurricane simply increases the reliability of Divine Storm Icon Divine Storm by allowing it to hit more targets. This increases Uther's effective threat range, and can be particularly surprising to unexpecting opponents. This Talent works well with combo-heavy teams that rely on quickly wrestling kills to gain an advantage.

Uther Redemption
Redemption (Level 20) World of Warcraft Uther

After Eternal Vanguard ends, Uther revives at the spirit's location with 50% of his maximum Health.

This effect has a 180 second cooldown.

Redemption Icon Redemption is one of the best Talents in the game. The utility of being able to die, expending your opponent's time and resources, to then be able to use Eternal Vanguard's outstanding healing potential, to then revive near your team with a full Mana bar and a reasonable amount of Health simply cannot be overstated.

Remember to move your spirit to a safe location before Eternal Vanguard ends because clever opponents will quickly switch their attention to you if you happen to respawn near them. This effect has a cooldown of 3 minutes, so avoid wasting it and be careful not to die when it is not available.

Uther Divine Protection ?
Divine Protection (Level 20) World of Warcraft Uther

Increase Devotion Armor to 50 and its duration by 0.5 seconds.

Divine Protection Icon Divine Protection is a subtle yet extremely impactful Talent that helps Uther with that which he is best at: mitigating burst damage. Being able gain and give 50 Amor on demand and for a longer duration simply cannot be overstated, especially when playing with another Healer in team.

Pick this Talent over Redemption Icon Redemption if you seldom find yourself dying, however, avoid picking it if you have Guardian of Ancient Kings Icon Guardian of Ancient Kings at Level 7 because it gives the same amount of Armor and it does not stack.
