Earthen Scales is a Druid-only spell. Below the card images, you will find explanations to help you use the card optimally in every game mode of Hearthstone.

Earthen Scales is a power and cheap dual-purpose card. Firstly, it provides a 1/1 buff that can catch opponents off guard and allow you to make more efficient trades. Secondly, it also has a potentially powerful healing effect which gains more value based on the strength of its target.

In Constructed, Earthen Scales is an excellent card. It synergises especially well with Ramp Druid decks, where the high number of powerful targets to gain large amounts of armour can off set the damage taken gaining Mana Crystals in the early-game.

Earthen Scales is a poor card in Arena. Hero life totals and armour are generally unimportant in Arena and a +1/+1 buff for 1 Mana is not worth considering.
