Lesser Ruby Spellstone is a Mage-only spell. This card was introduced with Kobolds & Catacombs and can now only be obtained through crafting. Below the card images, you will find explanations to help you use the card optimally in every game mode of Hearthstone.

Lesser Ruby Spellstone is a card that gains strength as you play more Elementals while it is in your hand. Although it is rather underwhelming by itself, when upgraded further to Ruby Spellstone and subsequently Greater Ruby Spellstone, it starts to offer great value for its cost, especially when compared to Cabalist's Tome.

Lesser Ruby Spellstone has natural synergy in Elemental Mage decks. Although it is not an essential card, the low cost and high potential of the card makes it always worth considering.

In Arena, Lesser Ruby Spellstone is a terrible card. The very specific requirement of Elementals makes it incredibly hard to upgrade the card and spending 2 Mana just to generate a random spell is very poor.
