Spellbender is a Mage-only spell. Below the card images, you will find explanations to help you use the card optimally in every game mode of Hearthstone.

Spellbender is a highly situational card. Although it can be incredible if you are able to steal a Blessing of Kings or similar card from your opponent, it will mostly function as a poor Counterspell, which is not a fantastic card to begin with.

Spellbender is rarely seen in any Constructed deck. If the meta is saturated with decks using buffs like Blessing of Kings and Velen's Chosen it can show some value, but it is still likely to be a poor choice.

Spellbender is a below average card in Arena. In most situations it will function as a weaker version of Counterspell which does not block important AoE spells like Flamestrike.
