Table of Contents

Cabal Shadow Priest is a Priest-only minion. This card can be obtained from expert packs. Below the card images, you will find explanations to help you use the card optimally in every game mode of Hearthstone.

1. General Comments

Cabal Shadow Priest is an extrememly swingy card that can create huge Tempo swings on the board. Since the introduction of various low attack Deathrattle minions in the Naxxramas set, Cabal Shadow Priest's value has increased even further, with new targets like Mad Scientist and Haunted Creeper coming into the meta. This card also offers incredible synergy with Shrinkmeister, allowing you to steal a midrange minion from your opponent.

2. Constructed Play

Cabal Shadow Priest is used in almost every Priest deck. The ability to steal problematic minions from your opponent and generate your own board presence is extremely valuable for a Priest, since they often lack in strong pro-active plays of their own. Combinations with Shrinkmeister open up combinations to steal many of the most common midrange minions in the game, such as Sludge Belcher.

3. Arena

Cabal Shadow Priest is an extremely strong pick in Arena. The potential 3-for-1 or better that it can create by stealing an opposing minion is hard to overlook when drafting. Since in Arena, cards that are uncommon in constructed like Gurubashi Berserker and Oasis Snapjaw are played more often, the potential value of the minion Cabal Shadow Priest can steal is even higher.
