Mana Tide Totem can be a fantastic card if it survives for multiple turns, and will often single-handedly carry games for you when this happens. However, this situation is rare, and more often it will be dealt with very quickly after only cycling for 1 card. Due to this reason, you may find Ancestral Knowledge to be a better fit for your deck, although both cards have their merits.

Mana Tide Totem is in direct competition with Ancestral Knowledge in most Shaman decks and you should consider carefully which is appropriate for your deck. Mana Tide Totem can provide more long-term value, while Ancestral Knowledge draws cards for you immediately, allowing you to use them in the same turn.

Mana Tide Totem is a strong card in Arena. It can be viewed as a win-more card that is only strong when you are ahead on board, but it is extremely effective at pushing you even further ahead.
