Lord Godfrey is a Warlock-only minion. This card was introduced with The Witchwood and can now only be obtained through crafting. Below the card images, you will find explanations to help you use the card optimally in every game mode of Hearthstone.

Lord Godfrey is an extremely powerful Legendary minion, which activates a more powerful version of Defile as part of its Battlecry effect. The 2 damage Defile effect makes it incredibly easy to clear boards, leaving behind only the 4/4 body of Lord Godfrey on the board.

Lord Godfrey is an excellent card that provides a solid board clear for Midrange, Combo, and Control Warlock decks.

Lord Godfrey is an excellent card in Arena. Board clear effects are highly desirable in Arena. As Lord Godfrey also leaves a 4/4 body behind, this card is almost unrivaled when offered in an Arena draft.
