Molten Core (Phase 4) Arcane Mage Best in Slot

Because much of your damage comes from Balefire Bolt Icon Balefire Bolt, getting gear with Fire or Frost Spell damage is not completely useless, but it is advised to go with Spell or Arcane Spell damage gear to cover more spells.

While its pieces are not listed below, using at least two pieces of the healer-oriented Arcanist Moment version of the Mage Tier 1 set can be really strong for healing, as it will make your Temporal Beacon Icon Temporal Beacon last for 20% longer! The rest of the bonuses are decent but nowhere near as impactful, especially the 6-piece bonus which is rather forgettable.

Green of Arcane Wrath bind on equip gear is decent but most slots have stronger options, especially this early into the game when Mana pools are still low and Intellect is stronger than it would usually be.

Also, always try to get an Arcane damage wand such as Mechanostrider Gear Shifter Icon Mechanostrider Gear Shifter, as its damage will be able to heal your Temporal Beacon Icon Temporal Beacons, enabling some extra Mana-free healing.

Blackfathom Depths (Phase 1) Mage Healer Best in Slot

This list is made up of Blackfathom Deeps raid drops, world drops, quest rewards and dungeon drops. Green of Arcane Wrath bind on equip gear is decent but most slots have stronger options, especially this early into the game when Mana pools are still low and Intellect is stronger than it would usually be.

Also, always try to get an Arcane damage wand such as Deadlight Icon Deadlight, as its damage will be able to heal your Temporal Beacon Icon Temporal Beacons, enabling some extra Mana-free healing.
