This Wild Mech Shaman Deck is one of the oldest variants of Aggro Shaman. It takes advantage of powerful Mech synergies from the GvG expansion to flood the board and follows them up with a broad range of damage spells to burn down opponents.

1. Aim of Aggro Shaman

The aim of Aggro Shaman is fairly straightforward, kill opponents by any means necessary. During the first few turns, the aim is to populate the board and make efficient trades to get the strongest board possible. Around Turn 4, the focus should almost entirely be on attacking opponents directly, and developing weapons for additional damage where possible. Once enough damage has been dealt any remaining damage spells in hand can be used directly onto opponents to swiftly finish them off.

2. Aggro Shaman Strengths and Weaknesses

The overall versatility of the archetype its main strength, it is capable to beating any other deck with no consistent bad matchups. It is particularly strong against other Aggro decks due to the use of cards like Maelstrom Portal and Jade Claws for board control.

As Aggro Shaman is reasonably good it all matchups, it is also its own worst enemy. The dependency on playing minions in the early-game and burn spells during the late-game can lead to some inconsistency with draws. Games where only spells are drawn early on can result in some games being lost before they even begin.

3. Key Cards and Crafting for Aggro Shaman

Patches the Pirate is the primary Legendary minion used in Aggro Shaman decks, it adds a significant boost to early-game tempo that will snowball throughout the game. Patches is a highly recommended inclusion if you have access to it but not essential. Some versions of Aggro Shaman also choose to include Leeroy Jenkins, this is a completly optional addition for more burst damage.

The two Epic cards used in Aggro Shaman are Hammer of Twilight and Doomhammer. These are both incredibly powerful cards that provide a significant boost to damage during the mid-game. However as they are both 5-Mana weapons they fill the same role in a deck and therefore only one of these cards is required based on personal preference.

Lava Burst and Lightning Bolt are the primary sources of direct damage to finish off opponents and are incredibly important for ensuring there is enough damage to end games.
