The following guide outlines how to play Malygos Miracle Rogue. Miracle Rogue has fallen out of favour in recent times due to the nerf to Gadgetzan Auctioneer. However, cards such as Tomb Pillager and Emperor Thaurissan combine to make the deck powerful again.

3. Comments On The Variation

This variation plays similarly to other Miracle Rogue decks for most of the game. Its main aim is to reach a position in the late-game with Malygos in hand in addition to a few cheap damage spells to burst down opponents.

To take full advantage of Malygos, a few additional considerations to be made to ensure enough damage is possible. In an ideal game, Emperor Thaurissan will be used to reduce the cost of Malygos in addiction to cheap spells, making it more than possible to burst down opponents in a single turn. However, waiting for Emperor Thaurissan is not always ideal and it is often possible to achieve the damage using cards like Preparation and The Coin to ensure enough damage spells can be played. Therefore it is always important to keep a mental note of how much damage you have in your hand an how much Mana you have available, as it may often mean not using all of your copies of Preparation or Coins with Gadgetzan Auctioneer as you would with other Miracle Rogue decks.

Miracle Rogue is a combo based deck built around drawing through your deck quickly with Gadgetzan Auctioneer. There are many different variations, but this particular guide is concerned with the Malygos based build.

3.1. Pros and Cons

This variation is generally more difficult to play due to experience and discipline required to learn when to save spells for Malygos. However, when played correctly it can be very rewarding, the huge amount of burst damage will either catch unwitting opponents off-guard or will force them into more defensive lines of play in anticipation of the impending damage.
