Lore
The Garothi Worldbreaker is the first boss accessible in Antorus, the Burning Throne.
Constructed deep within the core of Argus and outfitted with an arsenal capable of decimating worlds, this war machine has been designed for a single purpose; to bring the mortals' invasion to its knees.
Outline
The Garothi Worldbreaker is a single phase encounter, punctuated by a pseudo-intermission phase. During this short reprieve the raid must choose which weapon to destroy, ending the intermission and removing certain abilities from the encounter while empowering existing ones.
TL;DR
Tanks
- Perform a taunt swap after
Fel Bombardment is applied. The
afflicted tank should take the debuff to either side of the platform and be
prepared to evade missile fire for 5 seconds after the debuff expires. - If you are not actively tanking, help soak
Annihilation when
possible.
Healers
- Prepare raid cooldowns for
Eradication. - Help soak
Annihilation whenever possible. - Run to the sides of the room when targeted by
Decimation. - Have raid cooldowns ready for each
Haywire
Annihilation
(Mythic only).
DPS
- Help soak
Annihilation whenever possible. - Run to the sides of the room when targeted by
Decimation. - Have burst damage prepared for
Apocalypse Drive to quickly destroy
one of the Garothi Worldbreaker's weapons.
Positioning
- The ranged and healers should loosely spread around the center of the room.
- Tanks should designate a side to always take their
Fel Bombardment
debuff; this area should be kept clear of
Decimations at all
times. - A Warlock's
Demonic Gateway should be placed from the melee stack
to the back of the room to assist in escaping
Eradication. This is
especially important when dealing with
Luring Destruction (Mythic
only).
Decimation should be dropped off on the sides or back of the
room.- The group should form a loose stack during
Apocalypse Drive to
improve healing.
Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp
We advise you to use
Bloodlust/
Heroism/
Time Warp
as the encounter commences. On Mythic difficulty, it can alternately be used
after the second
Eradication to close out the fight as quickly as
possible.
