Windwalker Monk Leveling Guide for Midnight

1.1.

Best Leveling Talents for Windwalker Monk

You unlock the Talent Trees at Level 10. Further below is the recommended Leveling Talent path.

Talents are additional effects and abilities that can give you access to more tools in your spellbook. They are unlocked on a regular basis as you level.

You will unlock your first talent point once you reach Level 10.

Your talent setup should be as follows with each talent point as you unlock them. Note that these recommendations may differ from what is shown in our main guide for a maximum-level player.

If you are just starting your journey into Midnight, we have a Level 80 import string for you. You can follow the point-by-point allocation of the below tree once you start gaining levels in Midnight.

Best Leveling Gear for Windwalker Monk

When leveling up, always choose the piece of loot with the highest item level. The only exception to this rule is if you have a Ring or Necklace with a slightly lower item level, but 2 secondary stats on it instead of 1.

2.

Useful Leveling Consumables for Midnight

When Leveling up from 80-90 in the Midnight Expansion in particular, there are a lot of consumables that can help ease the process, aside from the "regular" PvE consumables mentioned further below.

  • Gunshoes Icon Gunshoes — Massive movement speed boost that works when Mounts do not, and much faster than ground mounts.
  • Goblin Glider Kit Icon Goblin Glider Kit — Lets you glide off of ledges and cover vast distances quickly.
  • Light-Step Hoofplates Icon Light-Step Hoofplates — Do not forget this Mount Equipment to make your mounts faster on the ground.
  • Fried Bonefish Icon Fried Bonefish — An incredible amount of movement speed from a Food.

Leveling Rotation for Windwalker Monk

The Windwalker Monk rotation is based on a priority system. Use the highest ability on the list as soon as it is available. This list assumes you have access to many talents, so simply remove the ones you don't have. It is also set up for AoE pulls, as Windwalker is very capable of doing so.

  1. Touch of Death Icon Touch of Death
  2. Whirling Dragon Punch Icon Whirling Dragon Punch
  3. Strike of the Windlord Icon Strike of the Windlord
  4. Fists of Fury Icon Fists of Fury
  5. Rising Sun Kick Icon Rising Sun Kick
  6. Blackout Kick Icon Blackout Kick
  7. Spinning Crane Kick Icon Spinning Crane Kick
  8. Tiger Palm Icon Tiger Palm

Windwalker Monk War Mode Talents for Leveling

In this section, we will rank the PvP talents best for leveling and doing solo / small group PvE content. Below is a ranking of both General PvP Talents and Windwalker Monk-specific PvE talents.

3.2.1.

General PvP Talents

  • Relentless Icon Relentless is a passive ability, but it does not automatically remove crowd control abilities. Instead, it reduces the duration.
  • Gladiator's Medallion Icon Gladiator's Medallion is an on-use ability that removes all movement-impairing effects and all loss of control effects.
  • Adaptation Icon Adaptation is recommended; it is likely your most passive choice since it will automatically remove loss of control effects over 5 seconds.
3.2.2.

Windwalker Monk PvP Talents for Leveling

  1. Alpha Tiger Icon Alpha Tiger is very useful for a small added burst as you go between targets.
  2. Reverse Harm Icon Reverse Harm is very useful for survivability and for added damage.
  3. Turbo Fists Icon Turbo Fists is an incredibly strong PvP talent that makes pulling large groups significantly easier.
