Elemental Shaman PvP Guide — Midnight Season 1

Due to the size of the changes we have broken it up into sections to make it easier to digest how Elemental Shaman was tuned throughout Season 1.

• March 31st Class Tuning:
  
  • Lightning Lasso damage increased by 450% in PvP combat.
  • Electrocute damage increased by 35% in PvP combat.
  • Farseer: All Ancestor healing increased by 20% in PvP combat.

• March 24th Class Tuning:
  
  • Lava Burst damage increased by 20%.
  • Elemental Blast damage increased by 15%.
  • Earth Shock damage increased by 15%.
  • Lightning Bolt damage increased by 10%.
  • Flame Shock damage increased by 10%.
  • Voltaic Blaze damage increased by 10%.
  • All damage reduced by 4% in PvP combination.
• For the Season 1 launch, Elemental Shaman received a few changes that leads to higher burst with Earth Shock, and a massive burst of damage when the enemy healer dispels Flame Shock.
  
  • Tempest damage increased by 20% in PvP combat.
  • Earth Shock damage increased by 15% in PvP combat.
  • Damage from dispelling Flame Shock increased by 600%. This effect can no longer critically strike.

• Additions:
  • Voltaic Blaze is now a core priority ability, replacing Flame Shock functionality and aspects of Primordial Wave & Liquid Magma Totem. It instantly applies Flame Shock to multiple targets and ensures Lava Burst always critically strikes.
  • Feedback Loop Apex Talents increase sustained and burst damage output.
• Removals:
  • Primordial Wave has been removed.
  • On use Fire Elemental and Storm Elemental talents have been removed.
  • Liquid Magma Totem has been removed.
  • Icefury has been removed.
  • Stone Bulwark Totem and Totemic Recall have been removed.
  • Talents removed: Deeply Rooted Elements, Splintered Elements, Echo of the Elementals, Elemental Equilibrium, Erupting Lava, Flux Melting, and Magma Chamber.
• Changes:
  • Ascendance has been reworked, replacing the Fire Elemental button and is now no longer optional to cast.
  • Rotation priorities have shifted to focus on Voltaic Blaze as the core ability for applying Flame Shock and enabling critical strikes.

Important Note

Midnight also introduces Apex talents, with Elemental Shaman getting Feedback Loop, which is further buffing overall damage, especially for Elemental Overloads (Mastery) and Lava Burst.
