The Great Vault in World of Warcraft provides players with a single piece of loot from up to 9 choices every week. The more content you do, from raiding, doing dungeons, or engaging in world content activities, the more choices your Great Vault will offer on the next weekly reset!
When Can I Open The Great Vault?
You can select one item from the Great Vault after the weekly maintenance in your region: On Tuesdays in North America, and Wednesdays in Europe.
Gear Upgrading Tracks in Midnight
With a new expansion, we get new item levels. Midnight includes an item squish that decreases item levels significantly from War Within. Here are the item levels players will see in Midnight Season 2:
- Adventurer Gear — Item Level 266-282.
- Veteran Gear — Item Level 279-295.
- Champion Gear — Item Level 292-308.
- Hero Gear — Item Level 305-321.
- Myth Gear — Item Level 318-334.

Great Vault Location in Midnight
You can find the Great Vault in Silvermoon. The exact location will be marked on the map with an icon.
You will find the Great Vault in the Bank building, to the left of the banker NPCs. Here is what it looks like in the Midnight expansion.
Great Vault Requirements in Midnight
The Great Vault has 9 slots. The more slots you unlock, the more options you will have when choosing your weekly reward.
The weekly chest is divided into three categories: Raids, Dungeons and World.

Bonus Rolls from the Great Vault
New with Season 2 of Midnight, another reward has been added to the Great Vault: 
Nebulous Voidcore!
Starting with the first week of Season 2, Nebulous Voidcores are a reward option from the Great Vault.
These become available when you fill at least three slots of the Great Vault for the following
week.
You can get up to 1 bonus roll per week, and raid bosses now only require a single roll as well, just like items from Mythic+. Another benefit of the Season 2 Nebulous Voidcores, is that bonusrolling i.e. on Ula'tek on Heroic difficulty, will net you an item with a 1/6 Mythic track. So, even without killing some of the later raid bosses on Mythic, you can get their items at Mythic item level with a few bonus rolls, and Myth Mistcrests!
Great Vault Objectives in the Raids Category
The item level of rewards in this category depends on raid difficulty. To unlock all three item choices, you need to:
- Defeat 2 bosses in the two raids of Midnight Season 2.
- Defeat 4 bosses in the two raids of Midnight Season 2.
- Defeat 6 bosses in the two raids of Midnight Season 2.
Defeating a later boss gives you a chance to earn loot from all the earlier bosses as well. As an example, if you've never defeated any bosses in the Venomous Abyss and you're invited to only a Ula'tek encounter, your future Great Vaults for the season will contain loot from every boss in the Venomous Abyss raid - Even if you do not kill Ula'tek again.

Great Vault Objectives in the Dungeons Category
Finish a Heroic or Mythic max-level dungeon to unlock a reward in the Great Vault for this category. Timewalking Dungeons count as a Heroic dungeon by the Great Vault. The item level of your reward choices will be determined by your highest run of the week.
To unlock all three item choices, you need to:
- Complete 1 Heroic, Mythic, or Timewalking Dungeon.
- Complete 4 Heroic, Mythic, or Timewalking Dungeons.
- Complete 8 Heroic, Mythic, or Timewalking Dungeons.

Great Vault Objectives in the World Category
Complete Delves, Prey, Ritual Sites, or world activities to unlock Great Vault rewards in this category.
World activities are considered Tier 1 Delves, while Prey and Ritual Sites scale accordingly to the difficulty you did them in. The item level of your reward will depend on your highest Tier Delve, Prey or Ritual Site run of the week.
To unlock Hero-track gear, you must complete Delves on Tier 8+, or complete Prey hunts on Nightmare mode.
- Complete 2 Delves, Prey, Ritual Sites or World Activities.
- Complete 4 Delves, Prey, Ritual Sites or World Activities.
- Complete 8 Delves, Prey, Ritual Sites or World Activities.

Thalassian Token of Merit Currency
If you do not want any of the loot options in your Great Vault, you have the option to instead
obtain 
Thalassian Token of Merit currency, based on the number of slots you have
unlocked for that week:

Thalassian Token of Merit for 1 Great Vault slot. - 4 Thalassian Token of Merit for 2 Great Vault slots.
- 6 Thalassian Token of Merit for 3+ Great Vault slots.

Great Vault, for the following items:
