Mythic Changes
On Mythic difficulty, Nythendra gains a new ability, in addition to the
standard buff to boss health pool and outgoing damage.
Infested is also
slightly different.
Phase One: The Plagued Dreamer
Twice per Phase One, Nythendra casts
Infested Mind. This causes
her to take control of all players with 10 or more stacks of
Infested.
Mind-controlled players deal moderate raid-wide damage every 6 seconds
with
Spread Infestation.
Dealing sufficient damage to the mind-controlled player will break the effect and reset the player's stacks of Infested.
In Mythic mode,
Infested's stacks are no longer reset when entering
Phase Two, which makes it the fight much more difficult, as damage will keep
ramping up on players until they get mind-controlled and freed.
Phase Two: Heart of the Swarm
Phase Two does not have any Mythic-specific ability.
Mythic Strategy
The key to the Mythic version of this fight is to instantly free players
controlled by
Infested Mind. This means that raid members need to
maintain as much control as they can on their stacks of
Infested.
This means that they must take no Plague damage from avoidable sources,
especially during Phase Two. The encounter is not a DPS race, so priority
should be given to avoiding damage.
The best way to deal with
Infested Mind is to have players with
over 10 stacks of
Infested run into the melee group, so that they can
all be DPS'ed down very quickly.
