Tier 17 sets were introduced with the second raid of the first tier of Warlords of Draenor: Blackrock Foundry. Paladins have 3 Tier 17 sets: Normal set (item level 665), Heroic set (item level 680), and Mythic set (item level 695). Pieces for Tier 17 sets cannot be obtained through LFR.

Pieces for the Tier 17 Normal set are created by tokens that drop from select bosses from Blackrock Foundry, in Normal difficulty. These tokens can also be chosen as rewards of the quest started by Essence of the Iron Conqueror (Alliance) or Essence of the Iron Conqueror (Horde), which can drop from Blackhand, the last boss of Blackrock Foundry.

• Head: Helmet of Guiding Light, dropped by Kromog
• Shoulders: Pauldrons of Guiding Light, dropped by Operator Thogar
• Chest: Battleplate of Guiding Light, dropped by Flamebender Ka'graz
• Hands: Gauntlets of Guiding Light, dropped by The Iron Maidens
• Legs: Legplates of Guiding Light, dropped by The Blast Furnace
