Dastardly Duos Event Guide – Rewards, Bosses, and How to Play

Dastardly Duos is a six-week event that revolves around players fighting alone, with a group of friends, or with NPC companions, in an instanced pit against bosses from the past to earn a high score and unlock various rewards.

The event's main headquarters can be found at the Gates of Dornogal, as highlighted by the mask icon on the map.

There you will find three NPCs:

• Vinnie Sweets who offers quests for the event.
• Xyggie Marou who lets you queue up for Dastardly Duos.
• Wodin the Troll-Servant who sells various cosmetics tied to the event.

Likewise, you will find similar hubs in both faction cities, Stormwind and Orgrimmar.

To queue up for Dastardly Duos, talk to Xyggie Marou at any of the event areas.

Vinnie Sweets will offer you quests on a weekly basis. Here is an overview of all the quests, objectives, and rewards you will get:

• Week 1: You will be offered the Who are the Dastardly Duos? quest to familiarize yourself with the event. Upon completing all the objectives, you will receive the Dastardly Banner toy and Dastardly Prize Purse, which contains a Champion-track item and consumables for the event, like Burner Clock.
• Week 2: We're Really Taking Off: Win a Dastardly Duos match, then speak with Vinnie Sweets. Rewards Winner's Podium toy and Dastardly Prize Purse.
• Week 3: Spread the Word: Place your Dastardly Banner during a match, then win the match. Rewards Mean-Ball Ball Bag and Dastardly Prize Purse.
• Week 4: They've Heard of You: Win a Dastardly Duos match, then speak with Vinnie Sweets. Rewards a High Score display for your Winner's Podium and Dastardly Prize Purse.
• Week 5: Another Amazing Week!: Win a Dastardly Duos match, then speak with Vinnie Sweets. At this point, you will receive your Tyrannotort's Treat mount and another Dastardly Prize Purse.
• Week 6: It's the Finale: Win a Dastardly Duos match, then speak with Vinnie Sweets. Rewards Dastardly Prize Purse and the Average Item Level display for your Winner's Podium.

You can earn the following achievements from Dastardly Duos:

• Dastardly Duos Weekly High Score: Gain new High Scores each week!
• Dastardly Duos Weekly Wins: Win Dastardly Duos matches each week!
• Boot Hill (Feat of Strength): Your Dastardly Duos group creates 30 tombstones in one match.

During the event, you can buy many cosmetics from Wodin the Troll-Servant with Resonance Crystals.

When you get teleported to the arena, you will be given a party of NPC companions. You can talk to the NPC to go in alone if you are up for the challenge. Keep in mind you can also queue up with a party of other players for the matches.

To your right side, you will find shelves with potions that grant you effects like healing or invisibility.

There are also tables of food you can interact with to receive different buffs.

For instance, Challenging Shrimpy Fish decreases your damage by 20%, increases damage taken by 2%, but grants 2x Kill and Survival Bonus, crucial for reaching a High Score at the end of your match.

When you are ready, talk to the Goblin NPC to start the match. A countdown will begin when you enter the Arena, signalizing the match start.

At the top of your screen you will find a 5-minute timer and your high score. You can add time to the timer by clicking cogwheels on the ground or via special items, e.g. Burner Clock, that you will find in the weekly chests and inside in the end-of-match chests.

Your Score will increase as you kill mobs. Many multipliers will further increase your score.

The first objective is to kill all trash mobs in the Arena.

When Cheery Bomb Cheers spawn, you will see a green circle around them. Make sure to kick them like the bombs during The Underpin so that mobs are killed in the green circles for score multipliers.

During the next stage, bosses will spawn. You will face multiple bosses simultaneously in two waves. Here is a list of all the bosses you will fight in the pit:

• Baron Silverlaine (Shadowfang Keep);
• Broggok (Blood Furnace);
• Chrono-Lord Epoch (Culling of Stratholme);
• Foe Reaper 5000 (The Deadmines);
• Glubtok (The Deadmines);
• Hydromancer Thespia (Steamvault);
• Lord Walden (Shadowfang Keep);
• Mekgineer Steamrigger (The Steamvault);
• Rattlegore (Scholomance);
• Watchkeeper Gargolmar (Hellfire Ramparts).

During the first week of the event, only 4 bosses will be available to fight and each week thereafter additional bosses will be added up to a total of 10 bosses.

You will successfully complete a match when you kill all the bosses within the timer. You will also see your Total Score on the screen when the match ends.

Moreover, a chest will spawn granting you Item Level 632 Veteran 4/8 gear and various consumables you can use in future Dastardly Duos matches.

When you or your team members die during a match, a goblin will spawn that will roam the area. When you stand in the blue circle surrounding it, you will get zapped. A tomb will spawn for every death. Boot Hill is a Feat of Strength you can get for spawning 30 tombs in a single match!
