Choosing your gear carefully is essential for your Devastation Evoker in PvP. We give you a stat priority to help you choose items with the correct stats, followed by advice on how to select the rest of your gear and your trinkets.
Stat Priority for Devastation Evokers in PvP
The stat priority for Devastation Evokers in PvP is as follows:
Intellect is the best stat in all situations. Versatility is the most
important secondary stat as it increases the damage/healing you do and
reduces the damage you take. Mastery (
Mastery: Giantkiller) is your next
best stat to have on gear. This increases the damage of spells, based on the
current health of your target. This is great for maximizing your consistent
damage output. Haste is the next best stat, this stat reduces the cooldown on
the GCD and makes channeling
Disintegrate quicker.
Gear Recommendations
In general, Devastation Evokers want to get trinkets that increase their overall damage output. These trinkets can have a passive or on-use effect. The stat you want to be increasing is Versatility. The reason you want to increase Versatility is because it increases both your damage and healing and reduces the damage you take. For gear, you want anything that has Versatility and Haste on it. This will increase your overall damage output and your survivability. Here is the best equipment we recommend you use as a Devastation Evoker.
You want to use PvP items as much as possible since they have increased item level in PvP combat. It is essential to be wearing 2 PvP trinkets. This will give you a Stamina and main-stat boost that will increase your survivability.

- 2-set:
Shattering Star's damage is increased by 50%, and it
always casts as if you had reached maximum empower level. - 4-set:

empower spells by an additional 0.1 sec each time the effect occurs.
Eternity Surge deals 10% increased damage.
In general, it is recommended to get both 2-set and 4-set for Devastation Evokers.
