Outline
Mistress Sassz'ine is a 3-phase encounter that focuses primarily on environmental mechanics. Good cleave damage is an asset for dealing with the consistent waves of adds present during the encounter. Raid damage throughout the fight is quite high, and groups with potent throughput healing will find much greater success.
Here is a preview of the LFR difficulty from the PTR:
TL;DR
Tanks
- Pick up Abyss Stalkers that spawn throughout the fight.
Healers
- Prepare cooldowns for high movement/pressure moments in the fight, such as
Hydra Shots, or when several
Burden of Pain debuffs are active.
DPS
- Quickly eliminate Abyss Stalkers and Razorjaw Waverunners.
Everyone
- Avoid Sarukel's
Devouring Maw and Vellius' deadly
charge. - Avoid standing in
Concealing Murk, and position so that a Concealing
Murk is between you and the
Slicing Tornados, as the pool will consume
the tornado and allow you to escape to safety. - Carry
Befouling Ink to Sarukel to make him go away. - Players with
Consuming Hunger should stand in
Thundering Shock
to detach the murlocs and make them vulnerable.
Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp
Bloodlust usage for this encounter is extremely flexible, and can
be adjusted to suit the raid's needs. Using Bloodlust at the beginning of
Phase Three can be helpful for quickly finishing the fight, as this is the
longest phase and raid damage is at its highest. Alternatively, it can be
used on the opener for maximum damage efficiency, as everyone's cooldowns
and trinkets should be available.
