Overview
Denathrius begins the fight by tormenting players for their past transgressions. Player must be hit by Cleansing Pain to remove Burden of Sin before they run out of space to avoid Ravage.
At 70% health, Denathrius casts March of the Penitent and drags players into his grand Observatorium, where they must face a chorus of his most powerful admirers while avoiding Remornia's attempts to Massacre them.
At 40% health, Denathrius casts Indignation and begins to wield Remornia directly, assaulting players with a combination of his most powerful abilities.
- Use Cleansing Pain to remove Burden of Sin from yourself and allies.
- Wracking Pain greatly increases damage taken, and can also hit Crimson Cabalists.
- Position carefully for Blood Price and Shattering Pain, both of which knock players away from Denathrius.
- Echoes of Sin and Crimson Cabalists are dangerous and can overwhelm your raid if not dealt with quickly.
- Remornia shares health with Denathrius through Bloodbound.

- Targeted abilities like Impale and Fatal Finesse inflict heavy damage.

Stage One: Sinners Be Cleansed
Players face Denathrius in the Nightcloak Sanctum, where he kindly offers enough pain to cleanse them of their sins.
Whenever Denathrius is unable to reach his target, he shifts through the shadows to their location and strikes them for 50% weapon damage.
All players gain 4 stacks of Burden of Sin at the start of the encounter. Every 2 sec, Burden of Sin inflicts 174 Shadow damage per stack.
Denathrius strikes with immense cruelty, inflicting 10,478 Shadow damage to players in a cone in front of him. Players with Burden of Sin lose 1 $Lstack:stacks; and summon an Echo of Sin.
Players without Burden of Sin receive ${3*100}% increased damage from this ability.
Echoes of Sin inflict 1,164 Shadow damage to all players every 2 sec.
Echoes of Sin are immune to all forms of crowd control.
Denathrius torments players with Burden of Sin, rendering them unable to move or act for 3 sec.
When this effect expires, each player is knocked away from Denathrius and explodes for 2,328 Shadow damage to all players who have the same number of Burden of Sin stacks.
Denathrius marks random players, then strikes 5 sec later. Inflicts 18,628 Physical damage to players within 4 yds of each target and heals Denathrius for ${$E1*100}% of that amount.
Upon reaching 100 energy, Denathrius commands Remornia to unleash stored Anima against players.
After 6 sec, Remornia releases anima in a huge arc, inflicting 20,956 Shadow damage to all players hit and filling the area with Desolation.
Lingering Anima reduces all healing received by 100% and inflicts 3,725 Shadow damage every 1 sec to players who stand within it.
After casting Command: Ravage, Denathrius gains 10% increased damage. This effect stacks.
Intermission: March of the Penitent
Upon reaching 70% health, Denathrius draws all players to the center of the room, then casts them outward to the edges.
Players affected by Burden of Sin have their movement speed slowed by 20% per stack and are unable to use abilities.
Moving within 3,725 yds of Denathrius absolves players of their Burden of Sin.
After 15 sec, all players are pulled into the Observatorium along with Denathrius. Any player still affected by Burden of Sin falls to their violent, unavoidable death.
Stage Two: The Crimson Chorus
Once fully cleansed, players find themselves in the grand Observatorium, where countless mirrors are used to watch and manipulate events throughout the Shadowlands and beyond.
Players can enter these mirrors to travel great distances, but there is no escape from Denathrius.
Members of the Crimson Cabal periodically enter the room. These loyal servants of Denathrius assault players with deadly anima magic.
Crimson Cabalists channel a dark ritual that inflicts 465 Shadow damage per Cabalist to all players every 2 sec.
When Denathrius reaches 40% health, all remaining Cabalists move to the inner platform and intensify their ritual. Healing received is reduced by 10% per Cabalist.
Remornia aids Denathrius in battle. When not using an ability, she's free to move and attack players at will.
Whenever Remornia is unable to reach her target, she shifts through the shadows to their location and strikes them for 50% weapon damage.
Remornia draws strength from Denathrius' life force. Any damage she takes is also taken by Denathrius.
Remornia's attacks and abilities cause affected players to bleed for 558 Physical damage every 1 sec for 15 sec. This effect stacks.
Remornia marks random players, then impales each of them a few seconds later. Inflicts 10,478 Physical damage to all players in her path.
Whenever Denathrius is unable to reach his target, he shifts through the shadows to their location and strikes them for 50% weapon damage.
Denathrius strikes with immense power, inflicting 10,478 Shadow damage to players and cabalists in the direction of his current target and increasing all damage they take by 30% for 24 sec.
Denathrius pulls all players to his location and conjures an image of himself.
After 6 sec, the image releases destructive energy that inflicts 30,270 Shadow damage to all players, reduced based on distance.
Upon reaching 100 energy, Denathrius commands Remornia to unleash a series of deadly attacks.
Remornia releases her full power to form massive blades that slash in every direction, inflicting 17,463 Shadow damage to any players hit.
Stage Three: Indignation
Having completely run out of patience, Denathrius opts to wield Remornia directly and crush players with his most powerful abilities.
Upon reaching 40% health, Denathrius disables all mirrors and traps players within a twisting maelstrom of anima that inflicts 9,314 Shadow damage every 1 sec to players who attempt to escape.
Whenever Denathrius is unable to reach his target, he shifts through the shadows to their location and strikes them for 50% weapon damage.
Denathrius wields Remornia. He attacks 25% slower, but his attacks inflict 50% more damage and apply Scorn.
Inflicts 698 Shadow damage every 1 sec for 15 sec. This effect stacks.
Denathrius performs a series of deadly attacks, slashing his target for 100% weapon damage 698 times over 3 sec. He then finishes with a devastating blow that inflicts 6,985 Shadow damage to all players and knocks them back.
Denathrius sets his sights on random players, then slashes each of them 5 sec later. Inflicts 10,478 Shadow damage to players within 9 yds of the target, plus an additional 1,397 Shadow damage every 1 sec for 20 sec.
Denathrius pulls all players to his location and conjures an image of himself.
After 6 sec, the image releases destructive energy that inflicts 30,270 Shadow damage to all players, reduced based on distance.
Upon reaching 100 energy, Denathrius creates an image of himself that mimics his most powerful abilities.
After 6 sec, the Sinister Reflection releases anima in a huge arc, inflicting 20,956 Shadow damage to all players hit and leaving behind Desolation.
Lingering Anima reduces all healing received by 100% and inflicts 3,725 Shadow damage every 1 sec to players who stand within it.
The Sinister Reflection forms massive blades that slash in every direction, inflicting 17,463 Shadow damage to any players hit.
