Lore

Argus the Unmaker is the final boss of Antorus, the Burning Throne, and the World of Warcraft: Legion expansion.

Bound. Broken. Eons of existence, knowing only pain. A shattered soul, fueling infinite evil. The master beckons. Rise... Rise! Begin, the end of all things.

Outline

Argus the Unmaker is a four phase encounter that is straightforward but very intricate. Many of the mechanics are very bright and telegraphed, but result in instant death if misplayed, evoking a "shock and awe" style of fight. Each phase has a very distinct flavour and tests different aspects of raid cohesion and coordination.

Positioning

  • Keep Argus in the center of the room in Phase One. The Ranged DPS and Healers should stack a few yards behind the Melee DPS.
  • In Phase Two, take Argus to the throne area. The Ranged DPS and Healers should also move to the back of the room, 15-20 yards from Argus himself.
  • Soulburst Icon Soulbursts should go to the sides of the room, away from the group, while Soulbomb Icon Soulbomb and the Avatar of Aggramar Icon Avatar of Aggramar go to the entrance area.
  • Spread out in Phase Three. Tanks should keep the Constellars that are attacking with melee away from their peers.
  • Resume Phase Two positioning in Phase Four.
5.

Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp

For first kills, especially if you are progressing on the content, we recommend you use Bloodlust Icon Bloodlust/Heroism Icon Heroism/Time Warp Icon Time Warp on the opener, and again when it comes off of cooldown in the final phase.

If you have strong enough damage to only get a single cast of Bloodlust/Heroism, it is instead advised you use it in the final phase when as many players as possible are alive and the raid is Titanforged Icon Titanforged.
