Havoc Demon Hunter PvP Guide — Midnight Season 1

The Havoc tree looks mostly the same, but it has received some significant changes.

Demon Blades is now baseline, which completely removes Demon's Bite from the ability list. This is a solid change as it frees up a talent point and removes an ability that hasn’t seen use since Legion.

Havoc also lost Looks Can Kill to make room for Demonic in the Havoc tree. Essence Break has been reworked and is considerably weaker given the current state of the class.

Midnight introduces a brand new set of Apex talents called Eternal Hunt. These are power-ups designed around one core mechanic and work directly with Eye Beam and The Hunt.

The first talent makes The Hunt increase Eye Beam’s damage by 100% and also widens the beam. It’s a strong passive boost to your burst, though it makes triggering Isolated Prey a little trickier. Still, the extra damage is huge.

The second talent cuts The Hunt cooldown by 30 seconds, increases its damage by 30%, and hits 4 extra targets. The extra targets don’t matter much, but having The Hunt on a 1-minute cooldown combined with the Eye Beam buff makes your burst way more consistent.

The last talent is the strongest. It gives a flat 20% damage boost to Blade Dance, and fully channeling Eye Beam refreshes Blade Dance’s cooldown. This lets you chain Blade Dance after every Eye Beam, creating insane burst potential. It’s easily one of the best changes for the spec.
