Havoc Demon Hunter PvP Best Races and Racials — Midnight (12.0.1)
Racial bonuses can provide interesting PvP benefits. Here are the best races to choose for each faction. The races are sorted from highest impact in arena to lowest. However, all races below have their own unique ways of making an impact in a PvP match.

Best Alliance Races for Havoc Demon Hunters
Night Elf
Demon Hunter has limited race options, but Night Elf is by far the best choice.
Shadowmeld allows you to outplay and become temporarily immune to CC and damage.
Night Elf also provides a small bonus to Haste or Critical Strike depending on the
time of day, but the primary value comes from Shadowmeld.
Void Elf
Void Elf has some minor value with 
Spatial Rift, which teleports you to a
targeted location. However, the three-minute cooldown limits its usefulness.
You can also proc 
Entropic Embrace for a small damage boost, but Shadowmeld
remains significantly stronger.
Best Horde Races for Havoc Demon Hunter
Blood Elf
Blood Elf is the only Horde option for Demon Hunter, no other race is allowed to become one
It is not recommended to play Blood Elf, as 
Arcane Torrent only provides an extra purge
on a two-minute cooldown, offering minimal value overall.
