Havoc Demon Hunter PvP Stat Priority, Gear, and Trinkets (Dragonflight 10.2)
Choosing your gear carefully is important for your Havoc Demon Hunter in PvP. We give you a stat priority to help you choose items with the right stats, followed by advice on how to choose the rest of your gear and your trinkets.
This page is part of our Havoc Demon Hunter PvP Guide.
Stat Priority for Havoc Demon Hunters in PvP
The stat priority for Havoc Demon Hunter in PvP is as follows:
- Agility;
- Mastery;
- Versatility;
- Haste;
- Critical Strike.
Agility is the best stat in all situations. Mastery ( Mastery: Demonic Presence)
is the strongest secondary stat at all times due to it increasing your
Chaos damage and movement speed. You should also try to focus on getting
Versatility. This will reduce the damage you take while increasing your
overall damage.
Gear Recommendations
General Guidelines
In general, as a Havoc Demon Hunter, you want to get trinkets that increase your damage or survivability. These trinkets can have a passive or on-use effect. The stat you want to be increasing is Versatility or Agility. The reason you want to increase both of these stats is because they both increase your overall damage output, and the Versatility will help you survive easier. Here is the best gear we recommend you use as a Havoc Demon Hunter.

Havoc Demon Hunter Tier Set
As noted above, acquiring both your 2-set and 4-set bonus is crucial. It is also important to note that ALL tier sets are nerfed by 50% in PvP. Although this nerf is significant, tier sets are still important to acquire to maximize your chances of winning. For Havoc Demonhunter, this is your tier set:
Demon Hunter Havoc 10.1 Class Set 2pc —
Blade Dance automatically triggers
Throw Glaive on your primary target for 100% damage, and each slash has a 50% chance to Throw Glaive an enemy for 35% damage. This is great for increasing both your single-target and cleave damage.
Demon Hunter Havoc 10.1 Class Set 2pc —
Throw Glaive reduces the remaining cooldown of
The Hunt by 2 seconds, and The Hunt's damage over time effect lasts 6 seconds longer.
Havoc Demon Hunter Embellishments
Embelishments are bonuses that can be put on crafted gear. These affects can have a drastic impact on the game. You are only allowed to have 2 Embellishments equipped at the same time. Here are the recommended Embellishments for Havoc Demon Hunters:
Shadowflame-Tempered Armor Patch is an embellishment that deals damage to enemies. This will significantly increase your damage output. This should be crafted on your helm.
Infurious Footwraps of Indemnity. These Embellishment Boots give you a primary stat increase when you successfully interrupt, crowd control, or dispel an enemy. These are automatically crafted on your boots.
Gems and Enchants
Here are the best enchants and gems for a Havoc Demon Hunter:
