Havoc Demon Hunter PvP Stat Priority, Gear, and Trinkets — Midnight Season 1
Choosing your gear carefully is important for your Havoc Demon Hunter in PvP. We give you a stat priority to help you choose items with the right stats, followed by advice on how to choose the rest of your gear and your trinkets.
This page is part of our Havoc Demon Hunter PvP Guide.
Stat Priority for Havoc Demon Hunters in PvP
The stat priority for Havoc Demon Hunter in PvP is as follows:
- Agility
- Mastery
- Versatility
- Haste
- Critical Strike
Agility is the best stat in all situations. Mastery (
Mastery: Demonic Presence) is the strongest secondary stat at all times due to it increasing your Chaos damage and movement speed. You should also try to focus on getting Versatility. This will reduce the damage you take while increasing your overall damage.
Gear Recommendations
General Guidelines
In general, as a Havoc Demon Hunter, you want to get trinkets that increase your damage or survivability. These trinkets can have a passive or on-use effect. The stat you want to be increasing is Versatility or Agility. The reason you want to increase both of these stats is because they both increase your overall damage output, and the Versatility will help you survive more easily. Here is the best gear we recommend you use as a Havoc Demon Hunter.
Below, you will find the recommended BiS list but this can be adjusted based on stat preferences.

Embellishments
The best sustained damage option is
Prismatic Focusing Iris.
This provides solid consistent damage throughout the entire match
Recommended Trinkets
Galactic Gladiator's Emblem can be an option if you need to play
particularly defensive against a comp you have not been able to survive against
(probably Rogue/Hunter comps). Despite this, it is best to use other trinkets over an
Emblem.
Galactic Gladiator's Insignia of Alacrity is going to be used in most situations.
The trinket provides a main stat proc along with static Haste.
Gems and Enchants
Fill every gem socket you have with
Flawless Quick Lapis. Make sure that in
one slot you have the PvP gem
Enduring Heliotrope.
These are the best Havoc Demon Hunter enchants by slot:
- Helm:
Enchant Helm - Empowered Hex of Leeching - Shoulder:
Enchant Shoulders - Silvermoon's Mending - Chest:
Enchant Chest - Mark of the Rootwarden - Legs:
Forest Hunter's Armor Kit - Rings:
Enchant Ring - Zul'jin's Mastery - Boots:
Enchant Boots - Farstrider's Hunt - Weapon:
Enchant Weapon - Acuity of the Ren'dorei
