The Stonevault Dungeon Guide: Location, Boss Strategies, and Trash
This page will cover everything you need to know about the Stonevault Dungeon in the War Within Expansion, including strategies for events, trash, and bosses.
Getting into The Stonevault
Darkflame Cleft is a level 70-80 dungeon located on the North side of Ringing Deeps, Khaz Algar.
This guide will be an extensive overview of the dungeon, providing vital information on how to complete it across all difficulties. We will cover all 4 Boss fights, as well as the most notable trash enemies in the dungeon and their important abilities. If you would like to learn about the rest of the dungeons in The War Within Season 1, please see our overviews linked below. Otherwise, without further ado, let us begin!
The Stonevault Layout
E.D.N.A + Trash Mobs in the Area
Notable Trash Before E.D.N.A
- Interrupt Cursedheart Invader's
Arcing Void channel cast.
In addition, if you have
Curse dispels, they will be a valuable asset against
Void Infection (it is instant, you can't interrupt it). - Use your defensives against Earth Infused Golem's
Ground Pound
AoE ability. In addition, make sure to dodge their
Seismic Wave frontal. - Sidestep the
Pulverizing Pounce ground effect from Repurposed Loaderbot. - Interrupt (or use disturb effects) for Ghastly Voidsoul's
Howling Fear.
E.D.N.A Guide
All Roles
Volatile Spikes will appear under 3 random members; make sure
to stay close to each other so it becomes easier to break them with
Refracting Beam
later in the fight. Soaking the
Volatile Spike without any major defensives will
likely result in a death.- Use the
Refracting Beam to break any existing
Volatile Spikes.
You might want to purposely delay breaking all 3 of them to make it easier on the
Healer as the beams themselves also do damage. - Use your defensive cooldowns before
Earth Shatterer as it will deal a high
amount of damage to the whole party and destroy any existing
Volatile Spikes.
Tank
- Use your active mitigation for each
Earth Shatterer.
Healer
- Be ready to top up your team members when
Volatile Spikes are being
destroyed. This can become incredibly dangerous if it overlaps with
Earth Shatterer
AoE ability as it will break any existing
Volatile Spikes.
Skarmorak + Trash Mobs in the Area
Notable Trash Before Skarmorak
- Interrupt Turned Speaker's
Censoring Gear at all costs. - IMPORTANT Interrupt Void Bound Howler's
Piercing Wail,
otherwise it will deal a group-wide AoE damage. - Sidestep the
Crystal Salvo ground visuals coming from Void Touched Elemental. - Use defensive cooldowns during Void Bound Despoiler's
Void Outburst.
In addition, your tank must pay attention to their
Shadow Claw's tank buster
hit.
Skarmorak Guide
All Roles
- Be cautious when focusing the
Crystal Shards as they will trigger
Crystalline Eruption AoE damage upon dying (this effects stacks). Clear
them 1 by 1 and have a few seconds in between to guarantee the safety of the group. - Avoid getting hit by the initial ground visual coming from
Unstable Crash.
It is important to collect a handful of
Unstable Fragments before the
Fortified Shell as they will grant you a
Unstable Energy
stackle buff. - Any existing
Crystal Shards before the
Fortified Shell cast
will only increase the shield value and make it much harder to break. The longer the shell
persists the more damage you will take from
Void Discharge.
Tank
- Use your active mitigation before the
Crystalline Smash tank buster hit.
Healer
- Make sure to top your teammates prior to each
Crystalline Eruption. - Use major healing cooldowns during the
Fortified Shell phase as
Void Discharge will only become harder to heal the longer the shell
takes to break.
Master Machinists Brokk and Dorlita + Trash Mobs in the Area
Notable Trash Before Master Machinists Brokk and Dorlita
- Interrupt Forgebound Mender's
Restoring Metals at all costs
to prevent them from healing any other mobs. In addition, do your best to stop as many
Alloy Bolts as you can. - Sidestep the Engine Speaker's
Jump to Point ground visual, as it will likely kill you. Other than that, they will just hit your tank with
Concussive Smash and otherwise be harmless. - Avoid staying in the
Lava Cannon frontal coming from Forge Loader.
They will also select a random member from your party and hit them with
Molten Mortar
stackable DoT effect (you can't dispel it). - Aspiring Forgehand will focus your tank with
Fracture and
Fracturing Blows
which will endanger your tank's life if multiple of those NPCs are pulled together, beware!
Master Machinists Brokk and Dorlita Boss Guide
It is crucial to kill both bosses simultaneously as otherwise they will trigger
Silenced Speaker effect, which will likely result in wiping your group. You better
balance your damage accordingly!
All Roles
- Interrupt Speaker Brokk's
Molten Metal cast at all times. - Sidestep the incoming Speaker Dorlita's
Lava Cannon
as it will deal high damage and leave a lingering DoT effect on you. - When Speaker Brokk casts
Scrap Song, position yourself
away from the middle of the platform to avoid being hit by
Scrap Cube. - Use defensive during
Exhaust Vents channel cast of Speaker Brokk
as it will do group-wide damage. In addition, avoid standing in any nearby
Flaming Scraps. - Get immediately to any corner of the room when Speaker Dorlita jumps away
for its
Blazing Crescendo cast. Upon explosion of the cube, it will trigger
Blazing Shrapnel, dealing damage to the entire party and spawning several
Magma Waves that you must dodge.
Tank
- Use your active mitigation when Speaker Dorlita is casting
Igneous Hammer
on you.
Healer
- Prepare your healing cooldowns for Speaker Brokk's
Exhaust Vents
channel. - Top up your party before Speaker Dorlita's
Blazing Crescendo
triggers the
Blazing Shrapnel, which will deal huge group-wide damage.
High Speaker Eirich + Trash Mobs in the Area
Notable Trash Before High Speaker Eirich
- Sidestep the Cursedforge Honor Guard's
Shield Stampede charge.
In addition, they will exclusively hit your tank with
Stonebreaker Strike
and otherwise, be harmless to your team. - Avoid being hit by the ground visuals spawning from Rock Smasher's
Granite Eruption. Use defensive cooldowns during
Smash Rock
cast as it will deal damage to everyone in your party. - IMPORTANT: Immediately focus the
Earth Burst Totem when
Cursedforge Stoneshaper spawns it. Failing to do so will result in a
group wipe. Any spare interrupts should be aimed at their
Stone Bolt.
High Speaker Eirich Boss Guide
All Roles
- Avoid the
Unbridled Void frontal. - When High Speaker Eirich casts
Void Corruption, it will leave a permanent
DoT effect on you, the only way to clear it is to get close to
Void Rift.
Watch out, though, if you don't have
Void Corruption debuff and you move closer
than 3 yards from a
Void Rift, you will be instantaneously killed. - Use defensive during
Entropic Reckoning cast, as it will damage you
and leave a
Entropy lingering pool on the ground. Please do your best to place it in
the corner of the room to make the boss fight easier.
Tank
- -
Healer
- Spot-heal players that have
Void Corruption DoT, as sometimes there will be more
debuffs than
Void Rift to clear them out.
