What is the Trading Post?

The Trading Post is an in-game shop. It is a place for players to buy cosmetics, mounts, and pets, with a currency called Trader's Tender Icon Trader's Tender. Players earn Tender by logging in to the game and completing different activities every month. Trader's Tender can also occasionally show up on the in-game store as part of bundles.

3.

Where is the Trading Post Located in World of Warcraft?

The Trading Post currently has three active locations.

3.1.

Trading Post Locations

Silvermoon Stormwind Orgrimmar

The Silvermoon trading post can be found in the Southeast area of the Bazaar, on a balcony overlooking the Sanctum of Light and just South of the Delver's Headquarters.

The Alliance trading post can be found just outside of the Mage District in Stormwind, next to the Stockade dungeon entrance area.

The Horde Trading Post is just to the right of Grommash Hold, in the Valley of Strength area in Orgrimmar.

4.

How Does the Trading Post Work in World of Warcraft?

To buy unique wares from the Trading Post, you must earn Trader's Tender Icon Trader's Tender. This is an account-wide currency available by logging in each month, and by completing various activities in the Traveler's Log.

Trader's Tender can be earned in three ways:

  • Automatically each month, by logging in and heading to the Trading Post, you can collect 500 Trader's Tender every month from a chest called the Collector's Cache.
  • By completing monthly activities in the Traveler's Log. The Traveler's Log gives you monthly set of activities provides the opportunity to earn up to 500 additional Trader's Tender.
  • Trader's Tender is also bundled with some store items, like cosmetics and mounts. Make sure to check out the in-game shop for more details.
FAQHow Much Trader's Tender Can You Get Every Month?
For most months, you can earn a maximum of 1,000 Trader's Tender - 500 from the log-in bonus, and 500 from monthly activities. You might earn more Trader's Tender in specific months, usually in the form of a bigger cap on how many points you can earn from monthly activities. Trader's Tender does not reset and will carry over to the next month if you do not spend it.
FAQWhen Do You Receive Your Trader's Tender Every Month?
At the first of each month, players with an active account in good standing will receive 500 Trader's Tender. If you do not have active game time on your account, or are not subscribed at the start of a new month, you will receive Tender on the first day of the month when you have game time or an active subscription. To receive Trader's Tender, you must interact with the Collector's Cache, located in any Trading Pose areas.
FAQHow does Freezing Items Work in the Trading Post?
If you cannot afford to buy an item in the Trading Post or you do not want to buy it that month for whatever reason, you can freeze it. Freezing an item prevents it from leaving the Trading Post once the current month ends. Frozen items do not expire and stay available for purchase until you buy it, or you freeze another item. You can only freeze one item at a time.
4.1.

The Traveler's Log

The Traveler's Log is a tracker for all your monthly activities in which you will receive Trader's Tender Icon Trader's Tender for. Each month features a rotating, themed set of activities. You can make only a set amount of Tender each month by completing activities; you will not need to complete everything in your Traveler's Log.

With that in mind, you can pick and choose from whatever activities you like best to earn your Trader's Tender every month. Generally, the activities awarding Tender revolve around completing quests, battlegrounds, taking part in holiday activities, and running Mythic+ dungeons.

The Traveler's Log can be found as a new tab in the Adventure Journal (Shift-J by default).

A bar at the top of the User Interface (UI) will show your progress in earning Tender. At certain thresholds, Tender will be deposited into your Collector's Cache for pickup. Additional Trader's Tender is also obtained by filling the bar. You will receive 100 Tender every time you fill the bar by 20%, up to 100%.
