What is the Trading Post?
The Trading Post is a new feature introduced in Patch 10.0.5. Think of it as an Auction House for cosmetics, mounts, and pets. Players earn a currency by logging in to the game and completing different activities every month, and exchanging it for goods in the Trading Post.
When Will the Trading Post Be Available in Dragonflight?
The Trading Post will become available for the first time on February 1, 2023.
Where is the Trading Post Located in World of Warcraft?
The Alliance trading post is called T&W and can be found just outside of the Mage District in Stormwind.
The Horde Zen'shiri Trading Post is next to Grommash Hold in Orgrimmar.
How Does the Trading Post Work in World of Warcraft?
To buy the unique cosmetics, you will need to acquire a new account-wide currency called Trader's Tender.
Trading Post Currency — Trader's Tender
Trader's Tender can be earned in two ways:
- Automatically each month, by logging in and heading to the Trading Post, you can collect 500 Trader's Tender every month from a chest called the Collector's Cache.
- By completing monthly activities in the Traveler's Log &dmdash; A monthly set of activities provides the opportunity to earn up to 500 additional Trader's Tender.
You can earn a maximum of 1,000 Trader's Tender every month. Trader's Tender does not reset and will carry over to next month if you do not spend it.
When Do You Receive Your Trader's Tender Every Month?
At the first of each month, players with an active account in good standing will receive 500 Trader's Tender automatically. If you do not have active game time on your account or are not a subscriber at the start of a new month, you will receive Tender on the first day of the month when you have game time or an active subscription.
The Traveler's Log
The second way to earn a Tender is to complete monthly activities listed in the new Traveler's Log. Each month features a rotating, themed set of activities. You can make only a set amount of Tender each month by completing activities; you will not need to complete all the ones in the log. You can pick and choose from various fun in-game activities to easily earn Tender. Generally, the activities awarding Tender revolve around completing quests, battlegrounds, taking part in holiday activities, and running Mythic+ dungeons.
The Traveler's Log can be found as a new tab in the Adventure Journal (Shift-J by default).
A bar at the top of the User Interface (UI) will show your progress in earning Tender. At certain thresholds, Tender will be deposited into your Collector's Cache for pickup. Additional Trader's Tender is also obtained by filling the bar.
You will receive 100 Tender every time you fill the bar by 20%, up to 100%.
