Best Race for Mining in Dragonflight

Dracthyr gain 2% Perception from their racials, making them strong Miners for both Horde and Alliance players.

If you are a Horde player, Highmountain Tauren are even stronger, as they have +5 skill and 25% extra Deftness by default!

Leveling Mining in Dragonflight

The first thing you need to do when you reach the first hub in the Dragon Isles, Wingrest Embassy is to learn Dragon Isles Mining from the trainer, which will allow you to pick Dragon Isles ore veins.

Increasing your skill in Dragonflight is done by mining ores around the Isles, and the main limiter to your leveling speed is how highly skilled you already are, as once you are past 50 skill you will stop getting skill points from mining the common Serevite Ore Icon Serevite Ore.

Thus, from 50 to 100 you will need to mine Draconium Ore Icon Draconium Ore. Look particularly hard for nodes with special modifiers and extra drops, such as the ores depicted below with Molten, Hardened, Primal, Rich, Infurious and Titan-Touched modifiers, respectively:
