Best Alliance Races for Unholy Death Knight PvP
- Dwarf = Dark Iron Dwarf
- Both Dwarf races are an amazing option as they let you pair
Icebound Fortitude with either
Stoneform or
Fireblood to remove nearly every effect without using your trinket.
This is strong into almost everything, but especially useful for removing
Deathmark,
Feral Frenzy, and
Havoc.
- Both Dwarf races are an amazing option as they let you pair
- Human
- Human is a solid pick because it grants extra secondary stats through
The Human Spirit and provides
a shorter stun trinket with
Will to Survive. It ranks lower than Dwarf because you already have
a stun break with
Icebound Fortitude, and the additional secondary
stats are relatively negligible.
- Human is a solid pick because it grants extra secondary stats through
- Night Elf
- Night Elf is an okay pick as it gives you access to
Shadowmeld.
Shadowmeld has strong outplay potential, but Dwarf
and Human are more consistent and will always provide value, whereas Night Elf tends to be more situational.
- Night Elf is an okay pick as it gives you access to

Best Horde Races for Unholy Death Knight PvP
- Orc
- Orc is essentially the only strong Horde option for Unholy. With
the stun reduction from
Hardiness and the increased pet
damage from
Command, it offers both solid defensive and
offensive value.
- Orc is essentially the only strong Horde option for Unholy. With
the stun reduction from
- Pandaran
- Pandaren is an okay option as it gives you access to an additional crowd
control with
Quaking Palm and a small Versatility bonus
through
Epicurean. However,
Quaking Palm is easy to break, and the Versatility
gain is outclassed by the overall value provided by Orc.
- Pandaren is an okay option as it gives you access to an additional crowd
control with
- Troll
- Troll provides the strongest offensive boost with
Berserking,
but the issue is the three minute cooldown, which often means
you only get one meaningful use per game. It also offers no defensive benefit,
which makes it less reliable compared to other options.
- Troll provides the strongest offensive boost with
