This page is part of our Demonology Warlock PvP Guide.

While the above table provides a generally accurate overview of the viability of talents, some finer points are discussed in the sections that follow, and we recommend you read those for a deeper understanding.

Tier 1 (Level 15) Talents

Dreadlash Icon Dreadlash is the best choice in this tier. This is an overall strong increase to your damage output.

Tier 2 (Level 25) Talents

Power Siphon Icon Power Siphon is the best choice in this tier. This gives you more on-demand damage by sacrificing two of your imps. This results in two charges of Demonic Core Icon Demonic Core, giving you instant Demonbolt Icon Demonbolts.

Tier 3 (Level 30) Talents

Demon Skin Icon Demon Skin is the best choice in this tier. This defensive talent allows you to passively heal throughout an arena match. This is crucial for you and your pet's survivability.

Tier 4 (Level 35) Talents

From the Shadows Icon From the Shadows is the best choice in this tier. This causes Dreadbite Icon Dreadbite to cause the target to take additonal Shadowflame damage. This increases the damage dealt by some of your important spells, such as Hand of Gul'dan Icon Hand of Gul'dan and Summon Demonic Tyrant Icon Summon Demonic Tyrant. This also works well with the Dreadlash Icon Dreadlash talent.

Tier 5 (Level 40) Talents

Mortal Coil Icon Mortal Coil is the best choice in this tier. This gives you extra control over the enemy team with instant crowd control. This ability will also heal you, which is great for increasing your survivability. Against teams that will be stacked on you, Howl of Terror Icon Howl of Terror is another good option to stop damage on you or your teammates.

Tier 6 (Level 45) Talents

Grimoire: Felguard Icon Grimoire: Felguard is the best choice in this tier. This gives you and your team an additional stun. Ideally, this will be used on a kill target, but it can also be used to help peel for teammates when they are being focused.

Tier 7 (Level 50) Talents

Demonic Consumption Icon Demonic Consumption is the best choice in this tier. This will give you more consistent damage versus teams that allow you to free-cast your spells.

PvP Talents for Demonology Warlocks

You can choose 3 of the following PvP talents. Each of them has their uses, but some are better for certain strategies than others. The top three choices are the most useful, but can be replaced with other PvP talents, depending on your team's goal.

Mandatory PvP Talents

Call Felhunter Icon Call Felhunter gives you an interrupt that locks an enemy in that school for 6 seconds. This PvP talent is crucial to stop incoming crowd control or, more importantly, to interrupt a healer that is casting a powerful spell.

Master Summoner Icon Master Summoner makes your Call Dreadstalkers Icon Call Dreadstalkers instant. This is crucial to increase your sustained damage and gives your more time to cast more important spells.

Situational PvP Talents

Fel Obelisk Icon Fel Obelisk empowers you and your minions, increasing attack speed and reducing the cast time of spells. This is great for when you are playing a team composition where the enemy team will struggle to kill the Obelisk.

Nether Ward Icon Nether Ward surrounds the caster with a shield that last 3 sec, reflecting all harmful spells cast on you. This is a crucial talent to take against all casters. You also want to use this talent versus teams with a Shaman, Death Knight or Demon Hunter. This is because their kicks are magical and this will prevent you from being interrupted while it is active.

Amplify Curse Icon Amplify Curse is another great option that has multiple uses. This can be used to slow enemies when you have Summon Demonic Tyrant Icon Summon Demonic Tyrant out or used against Fire Mages during their Combustion Icon Combustion so they do less damage.

Call Fel Lord Icon Call Fel Lord summons a Fel Lord at a location that will stun anyone that enters its ring. This ability is crucial against melee who try to ignore it. This also increases your survivability if you stand by your Fel Lord. You should replace Nether Ward Icon Nether Ward for this PvP talent.
