Enhancement Shaman PvP Useful Macros (Dragonflight / 10.0.7)
Macros are crucial to be successful in PvP. They allow players to use abilities on enemies without having to target them. This helps increase overall damage/healing and general awareness in the arena. Here are a few macros that all Enhancement Shamans can benefit from.
This page is part of our Enhancement Shaman PvP Guide.
Useful Enhancement Shaman Macros
Arena Targeting
This macro allows you to target each of the enemy team players without clicking with your mouse. This is a more efficient method of changing targets. You should replace "arena1" with "arena2" and "arena3" for subsequent macros.
- /target arena1
Wind Shear 123 Macro
- /cast [target=arena1] Wind Shear
Using this macro will use Wind Shear on arena enemy 1.
This makes it easier to interrupt an enemy while staying focused on
your target. If you want macros for the second and third enemies,
simply change the arena1 to arena2 or arena3.
Earth Shield Friend Macro
If you select the Earth Shield talent, you want a way to easily
apply this ability to your teammates without having to switch targets or
click their nameplates. The below options for this macro should allow you
to maintain a high uptime on Earth Shield and maximize one of the best
Elemental Shaman utilities for their team.
- /cast [target=PLAYERNAME] Earth Shield
Alternatively, you can make the macro target the generic party members, as used in earlier friendly team targeting macros.
Healing Teammates
This is for healing teammates without having to switch targets. We use macros for targets specifically by their name to make sure we heal the correct target without a doubt. This approach is more precise but takes time to maintain the macro if you play with various players.
- /cast [target=PLAYERNAME] Healing Surge
Alternatively, you can make the macro target the generic party members, as used in earlier friendly team targeting macros.
Hex 123 Macro
- /cast [target=arena1] Hex
Using this macro will cast Hex on arena enemy 1.
This makes it easier to crowd control an enemy while staying focused on
your target. If you want macros for the second and third enemies,
simply change the arena1 to arena2 or arena3.
Hex Focus Macro
- /cast [target=focus] Hex
If you find that you do not have much room on your action bars, you
can use a focus macro. This is much simpler to use than the arena123
macro. Put an enemy on focus and this macro will cast Polymorph
on that player while you are still focused on your target.
Cleanse Spirit Macro
- /cast [@PlayerNameHere, exists] Cleanse Spirit
This macro will use Cleanse Spirit on whichever teammate
you put into the macro. It is recommended that you make a macro
for both of your teammates.
Purge Focus Macro
- /cast [target=focus] Purge
This macro uses Purge on any enemy you have as your focus target.
This is useful for Purging important buffs on one enemy while still targeting
the other.
Cursor Macros
These macros are great for quickly placing totems, instead of clicking it to active the placement icon then clicking to place it. The totem will be placed wherever your cursor is.
Earthgrab Totem Macro
- /cast [@cursor] Earthgrab Totem
Static Field Totem Macro
- /cast [@cursor] Static Field Totem
Capacitor Cursor Macro
- /cast [@cursor] Capacitor Totem
Earthbind Cursor Macro
- /cast [@cursor] Earthbind Totem
